Hope your dad gets better soon, Nobody Special. I have to start watching my diet and get to exercising regularly myself. I have the genes to getting large, high blood pressure and heart problems from both mum and dad side of the family.

I think I'll write all the memories down here some day, little at a time. I didn't used to want to talk about it. I don't want pity or anything, I think I just want to get it out. If that makes sense. >> Here's a weird connection: My great-grandparents lived in China for 50-odd years. They were missionaries. That's where my grandfather grew up until he was 18 and why he always had a great love for all things Chinese, which is why I asked
I definetly hope for that. :)
Hello. This is indeed a good space for ranting. Have fun!
I don't understand why people would get offended over something that is natural and beautiful. I think they are being silly and seeing sex in everything that they can't even take seeing a mother breastfeeding her child.
My earliest memory is that of my paternal grandmother singing to me "Jesus love me yes I know, for the bible tells me so, little ones to him belong, they are weak but he is strong..." Of course she sung it in the Hokkien dialect, not in English, the words are exactly the same in meaning. Of all things, she is the greatest influence on my choice of belief. She was the
>> Ravenblack: Its absolutely mind blowing how many improvements they put in. If you liked Vice City, you'll love San Andreas. I highly recommend it. OK. I'll get it when I see it. The game hasn't arrived to our stores yet, so I'll save my cash till it comes.
I love this article. I once tried to be who I was not, I was very unhappy. Then I decided to hell with it, just be exactly who I am, if people don't like it, I'll just go away.
Cool. I hope Adrian writes something about GTA: San Andreas - I haven't decided whether to get it or not.
>> now if we could only get our other nice guy, chip, to do the same . . . wouldn't that be fun? I agree. Let's give Chip some Tequila !
More games than I can possibly play. That has to be some kind of sin.. *g*
Does this mean you are going to wreck some havoc now? Tear through a few trollblogs maybe? Swipe a couple of spamflys? Or are you going to smash into threads causing them to collapse?
To have that money set aside gives one a sense of security and a peace of mind. Speaking of which, I've really got to put a curb on my game spending. I wish I have your kind self-discipline.
That was really funny!
Very alarming, Chip. I was just making my rounds and suddenly I have been counted! I have a number! 37!
You know, it's more rewarding if you climb your way up without resorting to points-whoring. I don't understand why you need to. Your blog is already in the top 20. And you regularly get insightfuls from me without even trying. So ease up, BlueDev!
I have many internet friends who became real life friends, so it isn't all fruitless for me. If you feel that you need more physical interaction then by all means go out and make friends. But that's no real reason to drop hanging around here all together - even if you don't want to get personal, it's still a good place for discussions. It's true there's a barrier to the physi
Credit cards, discount cards, membership cards -- I just think they are all an excuse for them to spam your mailbox. I usually just tell them I don't live nearby or I say I don't usually do my shopping in their store, that I was just passing by the area. They usually stop trying to pursuade me when I say that.
No comment, except wishing you a get-well-soon.
LOL @ A History: That sucks. Especially when you are in the middle of enjoying your time online. Look at this way, you'll probably be blogging a storm when you get back.
All the best to you and your son, Dharma.
I watch reality TV - they are just entertainment. I like Amazing Race, Survivor, America's Next Top Model and The Apprentice. I don't like the romance types so much because I find them to be very strange. I have to ask people who are so big on condemning the watching of reality shows. Does NOT watching reality TV make a person better than those who do? Why does everyone talk about watching those shows like it's some kind of big sin?
It's always funny when very moral types ask for something to be banned just because it reminds them of things they don't want to think about.
I know I was a whole lot more selfish and self centered when I was a kid. I have looked back and seen some stuff that I've done and think right now, "How could I possibly have acted like that?" The worst thing I did when I was a little girl was to tell my friends that I don't have a mum, and that my mum was not my mum. Don't ask me now why I did that...I think for some stupid reason I wanted to be different from others or some stupid idiotic
At some stage of my young life I wanted a sister and sometimes hearing about the fights and conflicts my friends have with their siblings make me glad I don't have one. But I guess all my friends probably do love their siblings despite whatever difficulties they may have. Your feelings are honestly expressed in this one, I think. How should I say it? I think you are an awesome sister. Insightful + on this one, Sally.
