It's the internet and we can all lie about our age. But can your posts tell others how old you are? Or does it say more about your maturity level. I think it's more the latter. Game forums notorious for having kiddie posters. We call them kiddies, I suspect, not necessarily because they are kids but that they behave like kids. Bad rap for real kids, consid

We share similar thoughts, BlueDev. Especially this: "I believe that this “falling away” came in the form of a great apostasy not long after Christ’s resurrection and ascension to His Father. The truth, in its entirety, was lost from the earth for centuries. Many truths still existed, still were taught, but not in their pure form, not in their entirety." And I'm often doing this: "And each time I humbly seek the truth I find it throu
Take the old articles off the "display on forum". Or maybe you can make response allowance for registered users only. ...
As long as it doesn't take over your life completely, it's not a bad thing. I found that it has actually helped me in cultivating a habit of writing regularly, and not a bad thing either to get glimpses of other people's lives and thoughts.
>> Where do these people learn this from? Why do some people thing that just because you make 5.15 an hour, that person is "benith" you and deserving of anger and disgust It's as if they live in a primitive world where the caste system is still in place. Your article makes a good points, and welcome to JoeUser, Msladydeath.
You have to wonder whether he is really going to have a meal or get something else with the money you gave to him. Uncle of mine had perchance had a man come up to him asking him if he could have five dollars for a meal. My uncle said, "sure, I'll go with you and buy you that meal." The man walked away.
Plant parts are pretty under the microscope. I used to do a lot of work with the microscope when I was working in a cytogenetics lab. Here's a photo of some treated and stained g-banded human chromosomes in metaphase (10x100X magnification). They belong to some male patient showing a typical normal 46,XY. <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/
I like having chinese tea - making it with a traditional chinese tea set (clay) and just savoring the flavor and fragrance. Very relaxing. Some Dim Sum snacks to go with that would be nice too. My grandfather was a tea merchant and used to have a shop selling all sorts of chinese tea and he taught all his children and grandchildren the art of enjoying chinese tea. I remember some of his lessons, I was a little too young to really appreciate i
I remember that evening. Those dark clouds brought rain the next day. At night, the clouds covered the moon at times, and gave it an eerie orange appearance. It was a full moon that night.
This was I was refering to in my other reply in your previous related article. It always has the potential to happen when you are working on something current and 'hot'. Hasn't really happened to me yet. What has happened is that someone publishes something just as we were thinking of the same idea, or we were in the middle of researching it. There's at least time to shift a little. >>In the end this publication will actually help us. They h
>> Raven--I am sure that (as a scientist) you are quite familiar with the waiting. . yep. The waiting and the "I hope no one publishes the same thing before us" anxiety until the paper is finally out. *crosses fingers*
Guardian Heroes has come to Gameboy Advance in the form of Guardian Heroes Advance. I am still waiting for Bitmap Brothers to remake Gods (Sega Megadrive) for the GBA. I loved that game and remembered it fondly.
I used to have that internet securty - fire wall thing, I got so annoyed with all the alarms about malicious script. It's enough to cause paranoia. It's always telling me that people are looking at my computer or something. And the firewall hogs up a chunk of memory. When I had my current computer built, I made sure to tell the guy to leave the drive empty except for the OS, so that I can install the extras that I want myself. No stupid 30 d
I would have given the guy the drink. Unless, of course, I want all of it for myself. I think you responded to the second encounter well. If it happened to me, I probably would have pretended I didn't hear that.
Some spammer probably got the idea to use the top ten blogs as his ad platform....
I hate getting touchy feely forwards in my emails - those with fluffy kittens, stupid feel-good stories for my dark soul and so-called hilarious must-read jokes. Posting them in a forum or a blog is fine, but if you invade my mailbox with this stuff, I will delete, I will block and ban. I have had to do that with people who are too thick to understand a simple request, "Don't forward me this stuff." It was especially annoying back when yah
>>Actually one rule I have is that if I loan someone money, I do so without ever expecting to see it again I was going to say the same thing. Sometimes, when you lend someone money, be prepared to lose them as your friends. It's just a sad piece of reality, far too many people have a habit of borrowing and not returning. You know if they told me they can never pay it back, I would still have helped them because they are my friends. INstea
Very thrilling, BlueDev. After the abstract gets sent off, it would be the waiting. Hope your work gets published quick and soon!
>> Who notices that life is okay until there's a catalyst that sends it to "bad"? I tend to notice more of the bad. When bad things happen then I realise I had it good until the bad thing came along... But then life is always up and down for me, so I guess I'm lucky to be balanced that way. I would love to have a perfect life, but I highly suspect a life completely without troubles would probably make me lazy. I'm like that.
It's a personal victory. I felt that way before when playing against opponent who are more experienced than me, when I get a draw or a borderline loss. It's a matter of time, they always tell me, just keep playing and you'll soon be able to win some battles and learn his favorite moves and habits.
Glad you liked it.
Thanks. I just used a regular camera - A Canon Prima 28 N.
I think you are truly wise to pick your fights carefully. You, as a houseman, couldn't possibly win against a resident. You could win the argument and still lose because then, the professional is no longer willing to teach you. I found that the better you get along with your mentor, the more likely they will give you tips no textbook or lecturer will be able to teach you.
The stupid things bosses in upper management do to make themselves feel all-powerful and in control. You have to wonder sometimes whether being up there has deprived their brains of oxygen that they start reasoning things the way they do. I just think it just demostrates his pettiness.
I watched that Gotti show when I was in the US, I didn't understand one bit of what it is supposed to be about. The whole Gotti family seem like such horrid people, what or who are they suppose to be? Is this a reality show or a comedy? I don't get it or any humor that is supposed to come out of it. And I am quite a fan of reality shows.
