Thanks everyone.

You're clearer now than in your initial posts. Might be you were just angry when you posted, I suppose. I apologise for calling you a jerk in my previous post. >> most people who commit suicide dont think about how it affects the people who care about them. they dont care about the feelings of all those people who love them and and how those people will feel once they are gone, all they care about is finding the easiest way out of the problem
That's a good story, thanks for sharing, Gideon. Shows people unfazed by what mother nature dealt on a bad day.
We're alike in some aspects. Your practice of not immediately sending your message to screen is a good habit. It's very easy to lash out. If you are angry at something, might be better to hold it for a while before hitting submit or post. I have many times backspaced myself into absolute silence, and usually I don't regret it. And I don't think it's necessary to say what you think you w
How to exit a community without making a fool of yourself: Say goodbye, and be gone. At least you will be respected as a person of your words. The minute you come back and make a reply to your final goodbye thread - you will be seen as an idiot. And if you get more abuse for that, you've brought it on yourself. Won't be long before we see another spat of these I suspect... >>Raven, don't forget to sign the check for th
Interesting, but I would like to see more before I can comment anything about the story, and as you yourself do realise, it isn't finished. Who's the mysterious figure? Why did he do this, what work is he talking about? And why this victim? Certainly hooked my interest.
I noticed. And I agree.
Thanks SSG Geezer. I just wrote it on the fly. Glad it worked. Chiprj and Angloesque, thank you!
Little Jack was crossing the bridge the other day and there was a troll under it. He noticed the sign said, “Don’t feed the Troll” by the side of the road and thought to himself, now who would do something foolish like that? As trolls are, the nasty dirty horrible troll under the bridge spotted him and called out to the boy, “Hey you! You with the ugly face!
Thanks for the responses, Janders and Helix. BBQ's are sort of 'special events' when we do have it, usually when we have a get together at the beach or something, it is rare for someone to own a grill at home.
As long as you are happy with yourself. I mean that sincerely not sarcastically. If you are really being truthful now, you must also accept that you have lost some credibility and trust. I found this statement interesting and wish to comment on it: >>People are so smart ya know... cause you all just seem to "know" everything *laughs hysterically because she realizes how stupid that sounds considering you don't* Yeah, laugh i
That is gross. I've never encountered puking on a plane, thank goodness for that. I hate the acid stench of puke, it's infectious, make everyone sick. I would hate to be the one puking in front of people, it's so embaressing.
Back then, computers were reserved for real intelligent people - scholars, scientists, and such. Then came the days the internet is flooded with children whose parents have made the computer the nanny; and because of user friendly windows, morons of all shapes and sizes have also entered the cyberworld.
I agree with history. >> They want $89 to fix it, and there's a $25 pick up and delivery fee. That sounds reasonable to me, how 'bout you? sounds a little costly to me, but I don't know the regular cost of getting a computer fixed there. If it's virus, they probably try to reformat the computer and reinstall everything. My mum's comp is currently plagued by something
That's cool, wuxiaomao. Congrats indeed.
I feel like that sometimes, like things aren't in my control. As if I'm a storm I didn't ask for. I should be prepared and I feel like I'm not. Yeah i went to school, did all the routein and what does it all mean to me now? I seem not to be total control unlike what they told me when I was young and in school. Sometimes just can't see it and feels like a great big confusion... just hanging on here. I don't know where I am going with my life, I try to k
Kids can be very cruel. I remember my first year in primary school, and I don't know why but they just don't like me. I was in an all girls school back then. Those girls are mean, and they like to gather together, and tell others to hate you too. I can't remember exactly why - maybe it is because I am poor and they are rich, or I just didn't know how to get along (an only child and all, and I was rather quiet to begin with). I remember crying about it
I too have found myself wondering what the reporter was doing outside in the middle of a hurricane.
>>Anyone who disagrees with you is scum , and you put down people that you don't know. Don't point, because your own three fingers is pointing at yourself.
rotten.com is at least educational. It has enough nasty pics to make people think twice about rushing across traffic, ignore safety warnings or playing with a shotgun. I like to visit rotten news. Happy Tree Friends is shocking, I think because the creatures are so cute to begin with. I know someone at work who will like this.
Interesting, Texas.
Because I have just visited Washington DC, I answered most of it right, 4 out of 5 most of the time. *G* I guess visiting DC should be on the list of anyone who wants to become an American citizen.
>>Nice, short trip, 24 hours ugh >> low-cost no-frill carriers, they're losing more and more business and hence cutting back on comfort, sadly the cut-backs usually are accross the board. They ought to cut the pilot's salary. I might get stoned for saying that, but I think they are overpaid (at least in my country's airline they are) -- the computer does most of the flying these days doesn't it? >>I'd only go busi
Thanks for the replies, everyone, it does give me a better picture of American food and eating preferences. (I'll try your recommendation of mexican food cooked by HIspanics next time I'm in the US, ShoZan) In Singapore, what we usually have for a meal is white rice with vegetable and meat or fish items. Meats and fish are usually fried or steamed. Vegetables are usually lightl
Thanks Texas, glad to be back.
