Sally, Hello, M'dear... how are you?! You are a very interesting lass.....I really enjoy reading your point of view.....I also imagined you to be older somehow....it must be your maturity!! Thankyou for the welcome it's great to be here and great to meet you! Interesting conversation going on downstairs with Andy....what do you think?!
The Crusaders
I just have a couple of minutes..... Hello Sally, Andy, hope you are both healthy and happy!! There's a lot to read above and I don't have long....I will be away until Saturday more likely than not .... I have one question now, though, off the top of my head...... Why do babies die......when they haven't had a chance to learn anything? and.....maybe one more.......if someone as Hitler could take the lives of so many others in h
FreeMark, Hello...... Spirtually? I am not quite where I want to be at all times but I am content that it will always be so. Exploration is more important than destination Can you explain this in a little more detail.......thanks. So, you're quite religious? How does your religion interact with day to day life? Do you mind a few questions....? ........one more.....Why do you think we exist here....what is
xtine, Hello.......looks like we have a little girls club goin on.....perhaps we can all meet for virtual coffee sometime!? How are you, xtine? yeah....I have to go for a haircut soon too......I love and hate the smell at the hairdressers at the same time....how about you? Appearances ARE important in that if you don't take care of and neglect yourself you're not showing respect for your own body. .....I like
LadyCleve, Thankyou, M'dear! My hair has been stuck in a time warp for at least 15 years.....I mean it was the exact same colour....same length (though ofcourse it did keep growing but once it's a certain length ..it's just long!!)...and I had no trendy style.....the style would be what I call high school girl hair.......and I'm almost thirty now so it's about time for a little change...I think I was just comfortable in the familiarity....
Well, Muggaz, your real estate photo with the two doggies out the window...was on The Panel last night......bit of a freaky coincidence??!! And yes.....the real estate couple at the top of the page are now aware of what they at first missed!!
Hello, LadyCleve, hope you're happy and healthy!? Glad you stopped past! Yes I have read about you in your own articles and I must say ....again.... that I thoroughly enjoy your writing style as you really absorb a person into your tale. I sort of imagined you maybe a little older.....in a positive sense...perhaps it's all the experiences you have endured.... Ah......a musician....what instrument do you play? So many people with famil
Okay....did you enjoy it? I stick with acrylic myself..........what sort of things did you paint.....landscapes ? .....Portraits...? I'm just entering the world of landscapes after a lifetime of portraiture. I was trying to stick a picture I did on Art Rage on here but I can't get it over.........Oh well... Will try another time!!
(Laugh) Yes...that is quite funny......funny how people can let something like that slip past.......
LadyCleve, I really enjoyed that.....whenever I read your posts I have the urge to go write myself......I now have started a new scrap book to take wherever I go and write my thoughts as I think them.......thanks LC.
Cool....do you also paint ....with real paint? You have inspired me to go and have a little computer paint and maybe I'll come back a little later with a picture for you!
Historyishere, I'm an artist and have discovered some great paint programs on the computer....a recent one is Artrage...very realistic.....just like painting without all the mess!! I'm just going to go have a look at your 'apple orchards' I spied close by....
SSG Geezer, Thanks for sharing the human side of war and death. I was really quite moved by your words and it makes me feel sad for those that have died but also a sense of relief as compassion, kindness and respect will always shine through....thankyou, SSG Geezer.
EventHorizon, Most people in any given religion (Christianity, Islam, even Atheism) are not forced to be part of that religion, but make that choice freely. ...And if you were born into a given religion, you can always convert to another, or lose your faith altogether...that alone is evidence of people's capability of independant thought. I don't think it is a free choice for everyone. There are those who are born into a world
Muggaz, I think , from what I have noticed, that sometimes it's hard to know exactly where someone is coming from through the medium that is JU....with the inability to see anothers body language ...read their emotions vividly in their eyes....hear the subtle change of tone in their voice ..all of which helps us to grasp anothers wave length ... So, don't let it bother you too much .....you know what you mean and sometimes people wont full
Hypothotetical: What if that is exactly what we have done in the past.......We have survived in what we know as our universe for millions of years.....We have jumped from planet to planet...using them up spitting it out and moving on to the next one.....and now we are on the last one.
TheCassman, What worries me is that our obsession with reaching the stars and beyond and regarding the question of finding another planet on which to reside will be infact causing the neglect and demise of our own planet forcing us to find other residence....when we should be using our minds and technology to better the planet that has been the only home we have ever known rather than treat it as disposable waste we will leave behind once we f
FreeMark, I think life is pretty good. I think it is getting better every day. I think today we are at the height of human civilization, tomorrow we will be one step further, and we are far from the crest. I don’t think there is a crest. Not unless we start listening only to people who tell us how miserable it is. They are trying to drag it down from underneath It is so good to hear you say such words of wisdom.....Yes I think
AndyBaker, Thankyou so much for sharing! I have always been drawn to the subject since a child .....fascinated....I have read a lot of books.....SPR (Society for Psychical Research) has been a good source ......and I've always felt there is .....'More than heaven and earth...Horatio'...... I have felt that we do all have something more to us but not all of us take to it instinctively.........As an instrument....some people pick it up strai
Manopeace, Your welcome! You say some mighty kind words yourself....Thankyou too!
FreeMark, I wasn't meaning to be too harsh on you there....you have no need to be sorry! I guess I was going on a more practical level in a sense.......I just expected a more positive use of imagination when stepping out of the boundary of todays life. And yes I did want Your perfect world.....so sure, fine...that point is duly taken..but it's good to hear the word 'Compromise' in there! I guess what I am saying is that I kno
AndyBaker, But How do you know this.........can you explain more extensively ............I am very interested and would love it if you continued............ Why are your embarrassed.........I see no reason to be ...........
Actually.... I used to have a little banana yellow mazda 323.....it was passed down the family from my Granddad who had won it with a 20c ticket at a shopping malls years earlier.......hmmmm....it ended up getting rolled ....there were a lot of dings and scratches by the end if my memory serves me correctly....and it's final resting place was at the local wreckers stacked ungracefully inbetween two other cars..... YEAH ... I say "No More to Y
AndyBaker, I think I have a pretty open mind...and I am very interested in the psychic side of man....so I would love if you would share what you know.....and enlighten me to the unknown...
Note to self...don't buy yellow car...
