IMO BO will have a better chance of cutting the deficit if the Republicans controlled only one of the Two houses of Congress. Why you may ask? 1. Without both houses neither Republicans or Democrats will be able to ram through their pork. 2. BO will not line item veto very much pork if both houses are controled by the Democrats. If he did, he would lose votes for any of his pet projects he wants passed later.
