So the people who use their artistic talents to do all of the work for free should have to pay, but the people who benefit from their work get it for free? Seems a little backwards to me.

I'm sure the OB skins will increase soon. It just became publicly available last week. I don't think it will ever be more popular than DX, though. Skins are much more difficult to make in OB than in DX.
I don't know if I'm going to see the movie, now. The trailer gave away the whole plot!
I would like different sections myself. sorry about the image, just testing
If the particular OS is XP, then it could be due to volume. As more and more XP wallpapers get submitted, the moderators get more and more picky so as not to flood the category with them. So a crappy one could get in at the beginning, but a decent one may get moderated out after a while.
in subject Us = US.
I know there are some people who are pretty sharp on history in this group, so I'm hoping somebody has the answer. When and why did the US start supporting/ protecting Israel? What is in it for us?
I am very much looking forward to DesktopX 1.05 which will introduce a standard plugin architecture with a scripting language and other goodies. I think this makes DX the more flexible option. But remember. I'm at this site because I like and use stardock products. You may get more unbiased opinions if you ask this at deviantart.
I think it's either arrogance or fear that prompted religious leaders way, way, way back to comfort others by making up stories of heaven, or reincarnation or whatever. I find it odd that with all of the variations of religion in the world none of them (in my limited experience, anyway) says that you should be good even though you will be nothing but worm food when you die. man. not beliving in an afterlife makes death suck even more.
I think TheOnion has done an extremely good job in their las 2 issues. They have talked about events surrounding 9/11 while managing to be funny, sarcastic as ever, but still very pointed. Here are a couple more excellent articles: God Clarifies Don't Kill Rule:http://www.theonion.com/onion3734/god_clarifies_dont_kill.html A Shattered Nation Longs to Care About Stupid Bullshit Again: http://www.theonion.com/onion3735/a_shattered_nation.html
here is the tutorial: https://www.stardock.com/products/desktopx/tutorial/
Takes a big man to publicly admit he was wrong. Welcome back.
you have the option when you setup XP. you can automatically log in as a certain user, or have it set up to require a valid user/pass to get in. If you hit escape, you don't get in.
Getting on your knees and thanking her for still being there when you get home every day. Has worked so far.
Do what you need to do to. 10MB per day per account seems very reasonable.
Wow, Hippy. That emulator looks pretty good. The 700MB download is a bit hefty, though. Kinda like that devilsown XP emulator.
also, over at Virtual Plastic they have a whole section on how to make windows look more like *nix. here you go: http://www.virtualplastic.net/html/art_unix.html
...Trying to control fists of death ... It will be available publicly very soon from what I understand.
mmmmmmmmmm beer
Shame on you paxx, now I'll have nighmares when I sleep at my desk today. DesktopX is now a 45MB download!??!
Settle down, pal. No one's forcing you to download them, much less use them.
Making explorer windows (or any other windows) somewhat transparent requires windowfx or transperizer. DesktopX can't do it on it's own. Do you mean like this?: https://www.stardock.com/products/windowfx/winfx-apr00.jpg
Describe it a little more. I don't know what you mean by transparent folders.
Do you really want to see the site go to a subscription model where you have to pay to download?
There has been a lot of discussion in here the last several days regarding the editorial written in a Canadian newspaper. This has prompted a lot of Americans calling themselves the thankless saviors of the world (myself included), and a lot of other folks in our global community here with injured pride. That being said, I was truly touched by all of the gestures made by countries around the world yesterday. The moments of silence, prayers, etc have been truly appreciated. It's an amazi
