So what you end up having is troops with the latest equipment because they're like 20 gold or so decked out and a sovereign in rags. Which is fine because once you have a shard or two in magic it's pretty much a wrap for anything on the map. A 2 mana spell will deal enough damage to kill anything. More importantly the worst change was tying food and gildar producing buildings together. Food is already very limited, and now this?<br /

( I found horses and wargs in my latest game (managed to grab the horses too, for the first time ever! ) So they do exist, but they've never been common in my experience. And I'll vote for 'notify the player that his her

Yep. The cost for shop equipment should be calculated on the base of what equiping a soldier costs: Gold like for a soldier + 10 * amount of common material (material) in gold + 20 * amount of uncommon material (iron) in gold + 50 * amount of rare material (crystal) in gold maybe *1.5 so the shopkeeper and his 6 children doesnt starve.

Thanks for the patch. After playing a couple of hours i am surprised what big effect the new upkeep costs have. I like the change very much. The reduced monster loot is also great, building economy now makes sense. The new spelldescriptions are very good, but some are strangely balanced (compare shard bonus of Fire Bolt with shard bonus of Lightning Strike - both level 1). Maybe just a wrong entry? I see a problem with the AI. It seems it cant handle the new ec

It doesn't matter if "you" don't care one way or the other, or you don't get why so many care about a decent campaign in a sand box game. Get over it. Having one sells more copies period. It's simply good business.
Care to link to your data, please? I am interested.

The problem is, that you can ignore gold mines and just make money with monster hunting and have enough. Thats quite one sided, especially if you want to have a game where your Sov is not build for hunting at all. A Trader makes 0.2 gildar a turn. Thats 5 turns for 1 gildar and about 40 turns before you can start building a peasent. For non hunting Sov's thats just boring. Economy needs balancing IMHO. Someone said 1 gildar per city level, and i think thats a

Thats how i would design combat. I tried to KISS, but modular enough to modify each part of through traits, equipment, spells etc. ToHit Each creature has a base chance to hit an enemy of 75%. In an Unit, each creature has an independent chance of 75% + (No. of Creatures in the Unit). It is a teamwork bonus that shrinks as Creatures in that Unit are slain. Magic has a base chance of 100% - (Target Magic Resistance) &nbsp
You dont have a payed subscription, it just means that Stardock commits to at least one year of updates to the game. Which is different to most publishers that plan for one update and then be done and start working on other games. Does it mean support effectively stops not before last purchase date + 1 year?
More like release date +1 year.

I would think that a loss to gaming community, but the trolls will just turn to somewhere else.

This was answered maybe a hundred times but here we go again: It is badly worded. You dont have a payed subscription, it just means that Stardock commits to at least one year of updates to the game. Which is different to most publishers that plan for one update and then be done and start working on other games. I hope this answers your question.

All we've gotten out of this is a dev journal like the posting mods on reactor one where nobody is providing feedback or asking questions at all, which was one of the best things about the dev journals before release.
Another option: Show all resources, but mark the ones you don't know about as a shadowed unknown resource. Reveal and allow usage of that resource only after the relevant tech is discovered. That way, it also solves the problem of revealing resources for enemies. Should someone take your city with resources, for him it will still be an unknown resource.
</
