Yes you should. You will not be disappointed. I have played through all the betas and the gamma and can tell you that it is a remarkable game. MOO 1 & 2 were great. GalCiv 2 is epic. Ditto was Ash said. There is a metric butt load of info about this game available. You can also d/l Stardock Central and join the chat there.
As I understand. No. When it loads it checks for an internet connection. You can however turn this off in the options menu. Great for being on the road, or sea when you don't have the connection available. The CD will check for the connection as well. Unless you turn it off via the options screen. And yes it can me on multiple machines. Just can not play on more than one at a time unless you have more than one license. After you load the game up click on manual. All
Would be good to have another Chief at the Core. Help me keep the guys in line.
Suralle, Good luck with your empire, from one Chief to another.
Virginia. But I have been to most of the countries you guys are from, for a few weeks anyway, thanks to the Navy.
Nice to see that the medals are getting names now. Any chance on getting a rundown on how scoring will work this time?
There is no longer a "destablization" option in GC2. You can get info about them.
In the final, all events are less common and the recession only does a 25% hit to your economy instead of 50%. Thats good newz. I saw then fairly frequently but never more than once in a game. What really hurts is when it comes early in the game.
Very nice stuff.
Molly Hatchet.
I see that part 4 of the race descriptions is available on IGN. Thought you might want to add it to the Home page. Any idea when part 5 is coming out?
There are no issues with this in the gamma so far.
It's the best Galciv2 fan site out there! ohh it's the only one. There are others.
So no, you can't just whip it out. Always sound advice. As long as we can get it eventually.
Unable to submit. Any one else having an issue?
I think alot of what you can get from minor/major races depends on the level of difficulty you are using. I read that the minor AI is going to be rewritten so I am sure there will be changes.
This has been discussed before. Don't remember what the answer was.
I am a big fan of this feature too. But there are more important things to be done first.
Agree on all points.
Yes. This was stated in another thread. Can't find it at the moment though.
For Green thumb (3/10pts), give the player one extra tile for every ten; (+10%) For Magical (8/10points), where the player has spent almost all their race points to achieve this one special ability, give the player two extra tiles for every ten (+20%) Agreed.
I don't beleive just getting to advanced level of espinage gives you there techs. Did not work that way in GC I and I have not seen it in II yet. In current game I have advanced on all 9 races and have had it for about 50 turns and still have not managed to 'acquire' any of what they have. All they really have that I don't is some failrly low level defensive stuff that I never reasearch.
Master Trade Tech says something about getting one more trade route. You get three.
I like GC II because I LOVED GC I. In time I am sure GC II will become the favorite of the two for me. Not having multiplayer is a bonus for all the things you mentioned above..
