I have placed my Blogs on JoeUser into a file and in that process looked at many of the comments and complaints about the increased spending, welfare, pork and taxes people posted in response to my Blogs. When I took a look at just what parts of the Federal Budget have increased since 2001, the word that is front and center about all the budget and tax com

You most certainly would love to vote for Ms. (potential) big(gest) spender of them all -- Hillary. I will not vote for ANY of the GOP candidates. I would prefer Edwards but if Clinton gets the nomination I will vote for her so we do not get another conservative in the White House!
Reply By: terpfan1980Posted: Friday, December 21, 2007With the $4 trillion dollars of Debt Bush added he has no right to talk about spending by the Democrats. He added 4 times more debt in his term then Roosevelt, Truman, Kennedy, Johnson and Carter COMBINED!And you've voted for all of the big spenders along the way, haven't you?
Reply By: danielostPosted: Friday, December 21, 2007 You haver no idea what Socialism is! why is that because you havent told us???? No because of what you post o
Those who spend more than they make often end up begging for help in the end. That is just what our country is doing by running annual budget deficits and in creating over $9 Trillion in debt!
Reply By: danielostPosted: Friday, December 21, 2007 do not know what you have but I know I did not receive much from the Bush Tax cuts so I have nothing to give back! you sir are a bigot.
Reply By: Gideon MacLeish Posted: Friday, December 21, 2007 Bush was responsible for the Star Wars program? DAMN that Ronald Reagan for going forward in time, stealing George W. Bush's idea, then going backwards in time and claiming it! We REALLY need to control the time machine. After all, Bill Clinton did the exact same thing with NAFTA! Bush spent Billions on Star Wars and BORROWED EVERY CENT. It is a VERY limited system
I would like to see fewer pork projects but they are far less then when the GOP controlled Congress. The other change under the Democrats is that they show WHO proposed each pork project. When the GOP ran Congress they kept that a secret! With the $4 trillion dollars of Debt Bush added he has no right to talk about spending by the Democrats. He added 4 times more debt in his term then Roosevelt, Truman, Kennedy, Johnson and Carter COMBINE

Reply By: DraginolPosted: Friday, December 21, 2007Are individuals ever responsible for their own actions in your world, Gene? Yes however that is not the issue. Would a computer controlled beam weapon be the way to go in trying to counter this? If this system which is powered by electricity and can be refried any number of times I would think it could be used against anything. The beam travels at the speed of light which us infinitely faster than any missile. T

First, if this triggers a major recession the cost to this country will be far greater then to help refinance the Sub-Prime Mortgages. People will still be required to pay off their mortgages it is just the cost to convert the sub-prime and designer mortgages to fixed 30 year mortgages at reasonable rates that will enable many people to avoid default. Second, the two reasons these mortgages exist is the rapid increase in Real Estate prices and

Reply By: SanChoninoPosted: Friday, December 21, 2007Yeah, this is welfare. I'm all for helping people, but this is far too much.Talk about throwing a monkey wrench into the works. This is going to do far more harm than any good, Gene. How you can't see that (nor President Bush, for that matter) simply proves to me you're both
Reply By: Island DogPosted: Friday, December 21, 2007 The issue that Greenspan brings up is that if we do not act, this could trigger a recession that will impact many people who DID MAKE the bad decisions
In my book, George W. Bush Robin Hood For The Rich I talk about the need to shift to laser type weapons rather then the point to point star wars systems Bush has been pushing. In June 2007, Scientific American had an article about the development of the Beam type weapons that use solid-state lasers that can produce a beam of 100 kilowatts.<BR

Reply By: Gideon MacLeishPosted: Friday, December 21, 2007I'm sorry your hero Hussein was executed, Col Gene, but there's still time. If you act now, you can move to Iran while Achmadinejad (sp?) is still in power! Show me where I ever said anything good about Saddam or Achmadinejad!
Reply By: Island DogPosted: Friday, December 21, 2007The federal government shouldn't be stepping in at all. Former Fed Chairman Greenspan believes the mortgage problem is a VERY serious issue and has supported actual direct funding from the federal Government to individuals to help them refinance their mortgages to avoid default
The help President Bush signed into law this week will help some 200,000 people with mortgages that are in trouble. Some argue that Tax Payers should not bail out the bad choices of individual home owners or the mortgage industry. If the consequences of these failures only impacted those who made the bad choices that rational would make sense. T
Reply By: danielostPosted: Thursday, December 20, 2007 That is in your opinion. The Congress does not agree and passed the spending at a higher level and then failed to collect taxes equal to what we agreed
