I had to be out of work for a year due to major neurological problems and surgery. It was incredibly hard to get back into the job market once I recovered, and I'm making only about half of what I was making before. I'm not complaining too hard about the pay cut, though, because I at least HAVE a job, and so many don't. Good post, you get *insightful* from me.

sooooo...it's bad when left wing entertainers support Democrats...I agree...but then you totally lose all credibility by including a list of right wing celebs...you seem rather PROUD of THEM *read it and weep, lefties* So what's the score Flamer? Should entertainers stay out of politics? Or only the left wing ones? What are you really talking about?

I was a "house husband" for about a year and a half while working on a book, too. Keeping house full time and fulfilling those responsibilities for the family is just as vital as any work anyone can do. I was never bored, either, and it made me appreciate every person who gives themself totally to the family like that. Good post, you get *insightful* from me!

The phrase IN GOD WE TRUST is part of our heritage and history You had me until right here. "In God we Trust" was a little dig to the commies added to our "heritage and history" in 1956. July 30 of that year to be exact. But hey, the money it's on spends the same, so no biggie. amusing post<

You mean President Bush was DRAFTED into the Air National Guard? I was unaware of that, thanks. You mean President Bush was telling the TRUTH when he said Saddam Hussein had ties to al-Qaeda? I was under the impression that it was the Kurds they were working with. You mean calling a decorated war veteran an unpatriotic coward isn't inflammatory? I'll keep it in mind. I agree with the bit about Nader, though, the Dems had give

It's interesting that American went to war in Iraq because Saddam Hussein had ties with al-Qaeda. All evidence points to the idea that any al-Qaeda facilities that existed in Iraq existed in the autonomous Kurdish North. The Kurds are a displaced people, and Turkey wants to keep them that way. And of course they haven't forgot that Saladin was a Kurd. It's a similiar problem as with the Palestinians: Arab states would be happy to have the Palestin

I actually heard a piece on NPR where a guy out in Cali went on the same diet as Spurlock, but worked out an hour every day and didn't gain any weight or have any of the medical problems that spurlock had... he says it's a matter of not exercising rather than specifically fast food

Limited elections will only be seen as US rigged elections. Today on NPR the State Department spokespeople were advocating the same kind of "limited elections" in Afghanistan as well. It smacks of wanting to keep our pets in power, and it will not work in the long run.
