Kaavya should instantly be promoted to editor of the New York Times. Seems like a good fit I did not say that. I have always maintained that she did wrong and thast she deserves a chance to redeem herself . Come on that girl is barely an adult. 18 or 19 years and that is too young an age for excecution
Bahu Virupaksha
More breathless melodrama from Bahu John Mutha has investigated these charges and has been asking for a Senatorial Proble. Now the Iraq War is not a small matter to become a polemical point between Democrats and Republicans. Innocent people are being killed in a war financed by the American tax payer wi
I cannot access my blog. Though the other parts like Forums and Home is accesible.
The fact is like all half measure Bush's proposals will neither satify the right wing and the liberals will find all sorts of problems with it. Will these measures work. NG used for logistics and not for patrols or law enforcement. If thre is some problem will the NG be allowed to use force. This is a question no one has asked. I think unless the minimum wages for low skilled jobs in increased thereby making the domestic labor market more competitive,
I do not know which article you refer. It is not clear to me. Surely you will agfree on: Proposition 1 There are no WMD in Iraq. Proposition 2:USA and UK waged war on patently false grounds. Proposition 3: The civillian casualities of this War are beyond acceptable limits and USA did use banned chemiczals in several ares even in civilians sectors. Proposition 4:The violence in Iraq and the abuse of human rights both byu the USA, and the insurgent
Sending troops to the Mexican border will not help. It will only create political trouble for Vincente Fox and the Governors of the border states. While illegal immigration has to be checked. The demography of the USA will completely change in the next 50 years if illegal immigration is not reduced. Itn cannot be eliminated. Where there is Capital, Labor will migrate and therfore Bush and the Bushmen are tackling the problem using heavy handed means wh
Congrats Dr Jones. I was impressed with the phots and the loving family that gathered to celebrate the great ocassion. Now why does Rightwinger speak of Nazis and archaeology. Methinks that he is been seeing too many Indianna Jones movies. Is he Beloch. I wonder.
She is young. I can honestly say I am very glad people showed me mercy when I was 17, 18, and 19 and did outrageous, and yes, illegal things. I always paid for my mistakes, but was fortunate no one ever demanded blood...or worse, my future. Thats right. She has not sasked for mercy. She has not been a t
What can I say. I would like to meet Baker( probably he too shares a passion for Conon Doyle lit), Myyander(I like his concern for animals), Draginol (I like his keen sense of observation)paratek2 ( I like his direct forthright style)Col Gene(I agree with much of his politics but not on the way he presents his side)Texas Wahini( afterall I spent 10 years in Hawaii). In fact this list is by no means exhaustive. I do like and admire almost all regular bl
I agree with a lot of what you have written. I am extremely sceptical of historians who do not take what you rightly call "foundational myths" serois enough to suject them to the acis test of reason. Unfortunately triumphalism has edges out other voices in the reconstruction of early American history. You are quite right is referring to the War of Independence as the First Civil War. However political theory would posit that a Civil War nis within a du
I wish I could drive one of these beauties. Man you're lucky.
Historians like to tell stories, true stories that spring from the materials that have survives from the past. Putting the events together in a seamless web of narrative involves great intellectual and physical effort. And when you read a really good historical work based on exhaustive archival research you get the feeling of drifting into another world altogether. Th
'child' is getting younger now, having lost a full year of her age during the life of this article~ She is 19 years old and was 17 when the book was written. That how the figures stack up.
Good Luck. Diplomacy and International Relations and Statecraft are really exiting. Kissenger's Diplomacyis is really a fine book to get into and also Niall Fergusons works.
Now all this hype leaves behind one important fact. Kavyaa has not borrowed any idea or even passages. What she has done is to incorporate a few phrases with some words changed in her book. While she has been graceful enough to accept her error, the fact is legally speaking this may not be proof of plagarism. As far as Harvard is concerned they have decided not to pursue this as it concerns a book for which no acdemic credit was taken. I think that 18

Kavyaa is a gifted writer who as I and many other have said did something terribly bad. She is afterall only 18. Let her get on with her life put this mess behind her and sometime later, older and perhaps wiser, she will write again and may that second novel of her be remembered for what it worth. SDurely 18 is too young to have her dreams just ripped apart. Let her redeem herself and I am sure she will justify our support.
My daughter who is now 9 used to hold a grown up cat our beloved tom cat by his tail. She was then just as old as your daughter is now. But that cat did not even once show anger or even impatience at the little girl's play. Of course she soon out grew that kind of play and the cat and my little one were good friends for quite some time.

she is nonetheless an adult and should have to pay the consequences for her actions. You don't get into Harvard without knowing how serious an offense plagiarism is. PERIOD. She can't claim ignorance on this. She has paid for her misdeed, if any. You cannot punish someone twice for the same act. Agreed
