"I hope one of the first homes to be "eminent domained" belongs to a supreme court justice, or a liberal senator, then we will see if equal protection under the law, falls to the wayside too" That will not happen and for a simple reason. You're making the mistake of thinking it's going to be some sort of equal ground between the common Joe and the affluent lawmakers. Think about this people, before you make up some bullcrap excuse as to how th
I agree with TW.....
Even though christians may argue above whether there are 3 gods or one both side are taking a specific standpoint --religion/# of gods can essentially be simplified to two groups...Theists and Diests (check my article...)

agree with your surmize but, thought ... it was the fault of the "extreme RIGHT" .. not the left, you see, I consider myself a bit liberal, but in no way do I believe in the eminent domain horse@$$!@.. but I do believe in a seperation between church and state, and wait wait , wasnt the justice who was so up in arms against the e
Moderateman, you may want to ask yourself why all this is happening while America is under Republican control. The most authoritarian and Federalist Government has been ushered in ounder the command of those advancing the 'security' agenda. I don't think Democrats have been foreward about stopping this particular agenda and many
it kind of makes your post look rather foolish doesn't it? --Foolish is as foolish does...(kinda applies to a lot..."
Constitutional rights should only extend to citizens, legal immigrants, and those other visitors here legally. The rest are either - outlaws - they broke the law to get here, or detainees caught in a hostile war zone (both POWs and the NCs). And hence, they deserve no protection under the constitution. They do deserve protection under the laws of decency and fairness. Nothing more, nothing less. --I agree 100%
It's good thing you said "Not really" or you'd probably be charged under the Patriot Act --oh please....with the amount of anti government, usa stuff that has been on JU, there would hardly be anyone left.....
I'm just saying that what we believe SHOULD happen in the after life has no bearing on whether it what we believe IS more valid than other opposing beliefs. --ehhh...ok, granted, that would be religious Supremacy on ones part... <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 clas

Heh, this is part of the reason why I gave up. If the Bible can't get its act together, why should I have to? --Another thing is, what if the bible is written clearly, but we,humans, are just too primative,ignorant,etc... to fully understand what i means...hmmm?
Interesting, I'm suprised i didn't hear about it in the news on tv....
No I don't see. How is believing you go to heaven for doing good things a more sensible belief than believing you get rewarded for things that are bad to us, but good from their perspective? They are just different beliefs, one no better than the other, from the standpoint if whether they ar true or not. Neither belief has any sc
I don't think it can be disputed that Liberals tend to be more self-condemning of the US and more apt to "see other sides of the issue". In that way Rove was dead-on. --Actually, if COL, Dabe,etc... post on this, it'll most likely be debated...
Awesome job brad, you are the perfect example of a hard working american...
--I've heard that God is not only the Trinity...but that there is a Mother God, the "half" that is empathetic, and caring..then there is father god...which is the "other half"
How? Both beliefs are qualitatively the same it is only the content that is different --Because you have one that involves rewarding those who murder innocent people...the other, does not involve anyone but the specific person who believes that having to die... ya see?
I receive emails from both the Democrat and Republican Parties, as i agree with certain things on either side... and i recently received this email: Dear Lucas, Just hours after learning about an outrageous speech delivered by Karl Rove, President Bush's most senior advisor, I went to the Senate floor -- and I spoke from my heart. I want to s
have copies of his pay records that show Bush DID NOT ATTEND drills in the second half of 1972. I also have a copy of the order that grounded him for not taking the required physical. I have E-Mails and letters from George Bush's Economics Prof at Harvard who he told that his fathers friends got him in and out of the National Guard. You are the one that does not know what you are talking about. The story about Bush on CBS was ALL true even though they
Dr Bailey: “Thats because so many of them seem to be the same; "Blah blash, bash bush,etc..." I could count off almost 5 right now, there are those who IMO are a lot nicer, and that i enjoy debating with, the others......” Intellectual stuff guys! --Sarcasm? wow, you are capable of something....<
