If a candidate should come out and say they are against this or that because "the Bible says it wrong" and provides no personal reasons I would say that, that person is simply hideing behind thier faith. I agree what you said for the most part, and it all sounds so good on paper. The problem is that people try and bend the rules to fit there life-styles, especially with religion.
