I like the NetFlix/Yahoo style star rating. You just click on the star. There are gotchas like after you rate it you won't know what is the overall rating. That means another one that shows overall rating.

I am good in C#, but I am not familiar with docklets :SNIFF!:
Its just like when you download "FREE" software then upon installation find that it's a 30 day trial.
I went to check at download.com it says "WindowBlinds - License:Free to try; $19.95 to buy". Can you point us to where it is free?
Let freeware developers make cursor changing programs or object bar like programs and what not.
Unless you make a ton of money and become "evil", they are not interested. Tools/preferences/interface select "show the code editor tab" Thank you 2of3. I had the older version of SkinStudio 6. Wasn't updating to any pre-release for a while. New version has it. <TD class="mb
SkinStudio 5 has limited help. Version 6 takes you to wiki and it is almost empty! Some places have no help link at all. Just another thought: We do have many community projects. How about a community project to update wiki for SkinStudio?
I am just writing down things that I have noticed. Some of them may be already available and I am not aware of it. WindowBlinds - in the advanced user setting section a new item: behave like trial edition. - headerbar section: - skinstudio says the image can be transparent and translucent. But it does not work when applied.. <
People who do things have a tendency not to talk. I am glad to see you talking openly. I experienced the extremes of what you describe here. On the positive side I landed in US. I never want this country to experience what we did. I know that a lot of freedom has already been eroded here but it is still the best. It is a pity that lazy people think the most failed ideology of the 20th century is their salvation and that view point is gaining traction.
SP1 SHOULD be trying to clean up the stupid security stuff. Instead, they've made it worse.
They better do what Apple did. Abandon the DOS roots and start off from a unix kernel. One of these days Apple may open up their OS to non Mac PC's and the game will be over for MS.
Liberal Fascism: That editorial review from Washington Post is deifintely not the best way to sell that book :) unless the idea was to expose another lefty (Liberal had a different meaning where I came from.)
Here is a screenshot of Vista Ultimate running inside Virtual PC. It uses about 450MB RAM of the allocated 1 GB RAM. There is no support for Aero because it is hosted inside virtual PC and no real graphics hardware acceleration. Second image is with WB running with Molten. Really cool. The CPU isage is because of the notorious indexing :) [img]http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/357/vistaonvpcwbzt2.jp
I have been making changes to my gimmick blind.
congrats everyone :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT:
Silex was not listed here, but that is the one I like the most :) Task bar buttons are bit narrow for me on Silex. More Programs menu had a problem in the trial WB. Here is the image. 3D Metal task bar button animation for non active windows is a bit off. I noticed same problem rickalot says about Azul.
I can test it on Windows XP 64. Also, thanks to Zubaz, I can test it on a trial edition of WB.
3D Metal. I like Start Panel, menu and Window Frames. I like the other ones too.
:CONGRAT:
It will expire on April 1st. But I have an unused Windows XP Professional 32 bit license that I can use to build one from scratch. I also realized that my VPC was running really fast. I allocated 1 GB memory to it and VPC detected the hardware virtualization support in the processor.
Try Vista SP1 !You will never mourn about good old XP again.
Ok, how about "better be late than Vista without SP1"   The point was Vista should have come out with whatever is in SP1. Stardock is probably trying to do that. Get things right as much as possible before getting DesktopX out.
WB up and running on the VPC. WB said my graphics card does not support per pixel and gave me an option to enable limited per pixel support. Here is the image. Thanks Zubaz. It is great idea!
Windows XP VM with IE 7 up and running now :CONGRAT:
Downloaded and installed the VPC. Now DL'ing IE7 virtual disks.
THINK the menubar images will show if you have perpixel disabled in wbconfig(assuming you have perpixels frames)
I am back home and checked it. You are right. It is using the menu bar when perpixel border is disabled. Cavan1 - This is standard borders (fixed) using TGA (left, right and bottom). Titlebar is bmp.
There is a dropdown box at the top of the SKS5 preview window when the Windows preview pane is selected. You can select which set of borders are displayed in the preview window from there. Displays the Active nonperpixel window by default.
:SURPRISED:
You are right Cavan1. I created separate images for those since. But I could still use the TGA images for left, right and bottom without any problem. Only titlebar needed to be BMP file. IR - If per pixel frames from a blind are not used by WB in the trial version, is it safe to assume that the menu bar image will be used? If that is true, I would not be able to check how it will look with that image on using a registered version of WB. Daiwa - In SKS 5 everything looked good
