Over the past few years, WB has gained (and lost) a bunch of features, are either of the following still around? Transparent explorer windows... https://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/wb3/1.jpg Explore background images... https://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/wb3/wb-explorer.jpg
It doesn't seem to work, I hope were all talking about the same backgrounds. Im thinking about the background of the part that shows the files (usually colored white). An old skin of mine, hase an image for a background (see screenshot https://www.wincustomize.com/Preview.aspx?Source=spinal/wb/preview.jpg) although it doesnt seem to work anymore, is this still a feature of windowblinds?
What Im asking is how do I do a skin with n explorer background image, I cant seem to get it to work. are there any skins here that have an explorer background that I could have a look at to see how it works.
How do I do it? There is an option to select an image for explorer backgrounds, but it doesn't seem to do anything.Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere, a user override? Is it even possible to do this?

didnt wb used to skin console windows with ANY skin format? how come now its only uis1 skins that work?
I dont know how vista has it, is there a screenshot somewhere showing this? I was hopeing to A) know if the windows is an explorer window or not. B) If it is ,then have a bar up the left side of the windowframe, showing how much% of that drive had been used.
Is it possible to have a bar showing how much harddrive is being used, and have it as part of a windowblinds skin?
If i get a new computer with WinVS on it then i will hav WinVS, but i dont see the point in bringing out a new OS so soon ,loads of people are still running win95/98 are are happy to do so.
Can anyone tell my how to this effect? (the thick bar under the tabs) what part if the tabs do i put it in? when i put it in the actual tab images, it cuts off after the las tab. the tab border only seems to use2 or 3 pixels, and doesnt look right. the tab page image gets covered by whatever is in the box, therefore hiding most of the bar.

The trials dont run out, they just are limited versions of the full program. There is no time limit. Icon Packager always tells me I have X amount of days left....
Just wondering what happens when object bar and icon packager run out (trial) I think i remember objecbar still works a little, but with IP, do all my icons jump back to normal, or can i just not change them again?
Fixed it, I used a program calle KeyTeak, I think its freeware, didnt read thereadme, so it might turn around one day and dissable the key or something. I had to use an external keyboard to set it up, because although you can select the ascii character to assosiate with a key, in this case, it used the wrong one, so used the external keyboard to select the replacement key. now i can type in directory names etc. Thankyou
An external keyboard works just fine, I used to do that, but its not so fun carrying a keyboard and a laptop around. As for the manufacturers website, they have nothing in the way of drivers, or ANY downloadable software
The only software that came with the computer was for some shortcut buttons, toutchpad and network driver, there were no drivers for the keyboard, the windows it came with is xphome. I assumed the wrong keyboard driver, so i searched the CD extra hard, and found nothing. from a clean install the ey doesnt work. windows decides it is a starnard keyboard
I hope someone can help me, although my laptop has a '\' key, it is not mapped as such. the \ key is mapped as ` and the ` is mapped as PrtSc (print screen) although pressing ` to print screen is easyer than (FN + PrtSC), not having a \ key is the most annoying thing in the world, you dont realise how much you use a key until you dont have it. Can someone tell me how to map a different key to be the \ key? there is a whole bunch of key I g

Does anyone remember bootskin was going to be made better, higher resolution/color depth etc. Does anyone know if anything is happening with it? Will we ever see a better version (it still doesn't work on a bunch of systems (my laptop included).
Windows 95 is an improvement over ME How can 95 be an improvment over me when 95 was released in 1995 and me was released [b]after[/b] this, so how can they improve it when it was already around?
Here it is... As you can see, The StartMenu needs more work, and a couple of menus still need tweeking, but can anyone tell me why the tab borders are doing that thing? How can I prevent it? Any other comments would of course be helpful. Thankyou.
CAn windowsblinds do transparent menu's? I've seen people do transparent start menu's, can regular menu's be trasparent also? if so, how?
