Yeah it's completely borked but another thing is, I just had a loss in Pantheon but our team still scored more points than the winning team! Basically, it was Conquest and the other team just raced up to giants and smashed our citadel. On the way, we got pretty much every other achievement bar winning. Not sure if the losers should ever get more points than the winners....

Trebs were good in the old days when it made HoL slightly more difficult to use. Ahhh those were the days when HoL solved so many problems....

I don't think that works. I'm not even sure how it would work... what happens if you get teamed up with someone who doesn't have that switch?

I believe the winner of Pantheon is solely dictated by AI. Last few rounds, FoD have had more AIs. This time FoL must be having more. Officially, the biggest reason for AI appearance is due to premade quitting. The overwhelming reason that a game is won is due to AI. Yes, there is that thing called skill but if the other team is farming your AI (as you should do), you've got no chance whatsoever of winning. So, the answer to your question is:</p

It's only a problem in Pantheon if you do the drop/quit thing. In Custom, that's what Custom is for. They're complaining cos they are tards. If you see 2 people waiting on one side with the same clan tag and you only realise once you're 20 kills behind in the first 2 mins, then.. well... you deserve to be hammered.

Yeah, I always wondered why some guides on here argued against HoL. You were insane if u didn't buy it (or lost a lot). Had to be nerfed but not worth getting now. Cheaper items do a much better job. Makes the game better but not really sure what the point of keeping it ingame since it will never be bought.

This is no different to most other RTSs really except in a lot of other RTSs, most nubs/medium players just tended to sit back, turtle and build up their economy. So you had a period of 5-10 mins at the beginning where it felt like you were playing (altho in reality, u were just playing Sim City). You'll find that as soon as you rushed people, most nub/medium players just quit (ie when the fighting starts). The difference with DG is that the fighting starts from the be

I think the whole thing depends on how much u want to cry about finishing a game. In Custom, if someone drops, why bother sitting around to get beaten by a team with more players? If you can beat such a team, you were always going to win or u had already won. Just finish and start a new game. It's not like u lose points or ranking or anything. Of course, u might want to test yourself to see if u can beat unblanced teams. Whatever. U don't need AI. In Pantheon, if your team mat

Hmm, I'm guessing that's next to impossible to implement. Besides, how would u do it? What happens if you're 10 seconds from defeat? Or you're midway thru the game and someone quit cos you were getting hammered beyond belief. You wouldn't want to join either. I'm a big believer in KISS - keep it simple, stupid. You get equal players to start, if someone drops/quits, then it's unbalanced teams (no AI). You decide if u want to carry

Why don't u think AIs will be taken out? Must be easier to take something out than putting something in. The thing about keeping AIs in is that you're then gonna start whining about how good the AI is. If the AI is like now, just remove it. It's just extra bandwidth and processing power for nothing (assuming you remove the gold/xp from it which u really have to do). If you improve it's hardness by allowing it to cheat, that's just stupid.

Well, I'll be. I'm amazed how W7 might be faster than XP. http://blogs.zdnet.com/hardware/?p=3236&page=2 That article is way old so W7 might be even faster now. MS makes my computer faster? We'll seeeeeeeeee!

Well, nothing. In AoE1/2/3, AoM, SupCom, when a player left, that was it. It basically turns into a 2v1 or 3v2 or whatever (only human players). It's then up to you to decide whether u want to carry on or not. To summarise: NEVER have AI at all EVER in Pantheon. I understand some people like to team up and play against AI for some weird reason, each to their own. Keep that in Custom. (I did put JUST GET RID OF THEM in my original post which I th

Long thread... seems like Sly Squash versus the rest haha (sounds like DG matchmaking skills...) IMO, just get rid of AI altogether. I can't think of any other RTS that replaces a dropped player (for whatever reason) for an AI in multiplayer matches. Currently, it's REALLY stupid. At start, game result is determined by who has more AIs (ie the more u have, the more u will lose). Mid-game AI means any decent player will hammer that AI non-stop and totally ignore the oth

Yeah, I think you're absolutely right as well. In every game, I see that an equal number of players connect to each other but getting into the game, there are nearly always fewer players. I suppose there might be 2 explanations for this: 1) Nearly everyone wants to play pre-mades so they quit. 2) The unbalanced team making system allows people to connect to each other first and then kicks them out just before the game starts (which sounds insane btw). O

Nooo, 1 is yourself! So that's a: you+AI v 2 AI! But it's prolly cos srdave111 quit cos he likes to play pantheon with his partner srbob111. They like to team up to play against people who are looking for random teams instead of going to Custom and trying to play against other premades. They started miewmiewing when I was in a 3v2 against them and they got mashed. 'We would've won if it had been fair teams', they complained... oh the irony.
