My turn...I don't even pretend to be in the same realm as you masters, not for a minute. And I am not going to agree or disagree with any of this thread. I do wish to say this: I used to ask Fairyy~ for use of her widgets, and was granted use, but was nicely urged to make my own. She used to talk to me about margins and stuff. I still don't know a lot about margins, but thanks to Karen's urging, I started making my own. I went around and around with I.R. to get permission to make a Knot Vi
XP needed to go, we cannot be relying on an ancient OS in 2030.
While this may or may not be true, Vista does suck in many ways. The only thing I like about Vista is that it is pretty. And we all know we can make XP just as pretty as Vista! Vista reminds me of when MS released ME, It just wasn't ready. Vista is not ready for the public. My biggest peeve with Vista is that you are never really an admin. There are some things on a Vista PC that you just cannot access, no

Oddly enough, I embedded it into the same button that you did, and it worked. Previously, I had embedded it into a different button, not sure which. Is that not odd? Zubaz, do I need to reupload?
I took your hellboy start button and added the fonts there. Then I changed the font on the child text to Red Right hand.ttf. Exported adn copied the exe to a PC that didn't have the font. I ran it and the font was there.
Sounds as though you are using it as a widget (exe). I uploaded it as a .desktop. Dunno if that matters. Making it on XP, trying it on Vista and XP.
Jim, can you walk me through how you are embedding fonts? Do individual widgets work while themes fail? Have you ever had a widget work with one font and not with another?
To embed the fonts, I go to the summary tab, custom files, click add, browse to My Documents, where I previously put the font, click ok. Yes, I have had embedded fonts before, several times. Just seems like some fonts don't work.

Are some fonts protected against being embedded? I have recently made a few DX themes that have embedded fonts that did not work on the computers that they were downloaded to. Including my laptop, which is running Vista, rather than XP, which I make them on. But I don't think it is a Vista thing. I really think it is a font protection thing. Just a theory. Does anyone out there in the world of skinning, or the font world, know anything about this?

OK, well it seems to me that almost everything is being made based on the blind, which is as usual. So, it would seem that kitty has already given us what we need. I have gotten permission from brickhead to use some of his graphics. I have given, in this thread, permission for use of my walls, and such. What else is needed?
The skinners here are ultra-nice, but there's not much of a chance that they'll make a whole skin for one person
If the skin you want is a DX theme, I will do one for you, if you can provide me with some graphics to get started with. If it is to match a certain WB, tell me which one, and if I can get permission, I will do it. Cuz I'm a nice guy...lol. ;)
