Glad to see you back too! A very good article. It's funny but those things never leave you. Even though I've been retired from the Army ,(8 USMC, 15 Army, some USMC IRR time too according to my DD 214, but that's another story!), for a little over a year now, it's still a big part of my life. Sounds like the Power Supply. I had the same situation with my Gigabyte 8IK1100...Ram LED was lit, but no power up. Same thing..relatively new (less than 6 months) 450 Powmax. G, Just for grins and giggles... Is the video card AGP2, 4 or 8 or is it PCI? To eliminate the card as a cause, put it back in the box you built for your son (if compatible...you know the drill, RTFM). If it boots with the card, that's not it obviously.
