We just dropped Cingular. I live in Louisiana and they have had a serious problem with their tower software since the hurricanes last year. The towers were unable to hand off an inprogress call to the next tower. There were also many issues with the GSM service. We switched to AllTel last week. At first glance the service and equipment seem good. Although, they are still using CDMA technology. Battery life seems to be the only drawback now. <
