I cant stand the cold either. Unfortunately, it seems as I will be forced to leave my abode of reasonable warmth near the end of January. I identify with you on the senary aspect of it all as well. Growing up in MA, I remember the winter months; stark. A virtual wasteland consisting of black sketons for trees, sittng against a dismal grey skies and a blindingly white ground; simply depressing. Today I'm living in northern CA. The rain

Very strange! On my ASUS boards I can list the drive priority as well as the boot priority. (In other words, I can list all of my HD's in boot order by name, then set the boot device priority to boot from the HD, as opposed to say a cd-rom or floppy.) Then it doesn't matter what is on which drive, I can (and do) have different OS
oops, sorry...didn't see that one...only one IDE controller on the motherboard? No, it has 2 channels. But I was not willing to purchase another IDE cable for the huge sum of $15 or so. Like I had mentioned earlier, I wish I had known that this drive had a Windows OS on it. It was a PITA just t
Even if you reset the jumpers on the HD? Thats a pretty good question Gid, and one I really could not answer for sure, unless I had given it a shot. If I had to hazard a guess, I'd have to say no. I know it doesn't seem to make anymore sense than the darn think booting from the IDE channel when
Remove the MBR from the IDE drive, it should then boot only from the SATA. And that it did...thanks FL T
Thanks for being here. Your welcome. My pleasure. I really like this line; beautiful and touching. And I also like the little twist at the end. Well done. </TABL
Six shots to the head and she survived! Man, that has to be some kind of record, doesn't it? If it isn't, it aught to be! Not only did she survive, she escaped virtually unscathed. This is the kind of thing that would happen to me. Sometimes I feel like HE just wont let me pass on.</f

This is my first attempt at doing anything like this, so please don't be to harsh on me with your criticism Theme: “The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. Patricia Goncalves Pereira, a 21-year-old housewife, was shot Friday after an altercation with her ex-husband, who was upset because she refused to get back together with him, Globo TV reported. This lady took 6 .32 cal gunshots to the head. The doctors said not one of these slugs made it past her skull! The husband? Well he's still out on the ru
About 6-7 for me. No matter what time I hit the rack, it seems I'm up around 5am though. When I'm working, I rise about 4am and settle in around 9.30pm.
I could barely log on to the main site too. I kept getting server not found message. It's also very slow. This is what I got as well. I'm guessing there is some maintinence being done. I only wish we could somehow be informed.
I think I did very well on my exam this morning...it only took me 10 minutes for 50 multiple choice questions. Oh yeah! Looking forward to finding out...lemme know!

I wondered if it was my computer, both at work and home. So I cleaned up the cache and all. A common performance tweak it to change the size of the internet cache to about 30MB. You can do this via Internet Options control panel. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 cla
I have been using Object Desktop components for a very long time, and have never suffered under beta releases. IMHO, these betas are well tested and work perfectly. Since many of the OD are continuously under development, they remain in the beta stage. You have the option to either use or not the beta releases. We are all made aware of the situation, before we put out our $40. I personally have NEVER received such a suite of competent and more usefull software than OD for $40.<
Rid your PC of all DX componants and reboot. Set up SDC and run it. Do NOT download and install a bunch of apps at once without rebooting inbetween. Load WindowBlinds, and reboot when the option comes. Find yourself a skin you want, set it all up and reboot. If all goes well, move on the the next DX componant; reboot; configure; reboot. If you have no issues, move on from there. Hope that helps <img src="http://images.stardock.com/ju/T_JU/smiles/Smile
