Lindows boxes are curently only to be sold on Walmart.com and not in the stores where HP has the exclusive contract. Can Linux make it on the desktop? Only time will tell. It needs better driver support, better support for common tasks with a gui for getting them done and there needs to be a common set of applications with common names to get all the usual tasks done ( office stuff, Web browser, email, PIM Ect...) Also there need to be a common interface Choice is good but standards

normal day 0500 arrive and take over operation of my turbine/boiler unit. 0500 - 1130 Work 10 minutes a hour goof off for 50 1130 -1230 eat luch ( without leaving my unit) 1230 - 1700 same as 0500-1130 1700 leave repeat 3 1/2 days a week Or so it seems the the outside world. Really much time is spend glancing at the control gages and making adjustments the the unit.

How bout a link at the top of the page that goes to a page that has FAQ's for each of the programs listed on WInC. We could assign volunteers to answer the common questions for each program and place the Q&A in the FAQ within a few weeks most of the redundant stuff should be taken care of. Also a "newbie/Help thread in the forum that simply points them to the INdex of FAQ's..
