He is one of the MAIN reasons that I even go to DevArt. I look for his new Hoverdesk skinz and read the Hoverdesk Forum. I hope that he does return and to continue to post his excellent work.
Frogboy - The site was just too slow so we went ahead and got more bandwidth on the assumption that the CD which goes out on Monday will sell reasonably well. Hopefully in a month we're not back to where we were. ie: Buy the CD or else <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/grim.gif" border
I think that someone mentioned this before but I would like to revisit this idea. What about a Skinz Browser like skinz.org had that would allow people to look at the latest skinz and possibility the news/message board sections without having to actually come to wincustomize.com through a browser? It would have to extravagant, just functional. This would cut down some on bandwidth (ie: not having to load all of the extra graphics) and would just be a neat extra. Kind of like the CM or W
It was premature... oops, was that to personal?
I might as well as long as they had a section for "all" of the skinnable apps out there.
Why do you ask Jafo?
jcg spoke - How can one feel morally outraged about anything if it is all just opinion? I ask you this. If you were seriously asking that question, why does one need to feel morally outraged at all? What defines outrage? What defines war? What defines right and wrong? Who are we to define anything? IMHO, my answer is knowledge. We know what is right and wrong but we, as the human race, are so self-indulgent and self-centered that we cannot handle our own egos. As an
jcg - its done all the time. McVeigh died because we all agree that what he did was wrong, unless you feel his execution was just another example of a senseless persecution of his equally valid viewpoint. Personally I do not agree with what McVeigh did. I think that the "eye for an eye" view is very "fare". But, for arguments sake, what he thought he was doing was right and, for arguments sake, who are we to tell him he was wrong? To him, he was at war. We go to war all the ti
What I find interesting is how there can be so many different variations of religions from one book, but yet it is supposedly the book that speaks the actual truth. I guess it is all in how you interpret something. Another thing, who is to say, with all of the religions in the world, that one is right or wrong? I mean if you think about it, by far "Christianity" has to be one of the newest religions out there.
Philosophically, maybe it is somewhat of an imbedded backlash against the many years that the Christians persecuted and destroyed every other religion without hesitation. Isn't it natural for a living creature to move/pull away from things that are trying to harm/intrude upon them in some form or another? In this case the many years the Christians have tried to control and suppress that which is not like them. Just a thought.
Doreen - and I already feel I ain't gonna make it to his house to go be with him... A question to ask: If God is all knowing and all seeing then he already knows and has seen where you will end up. So isn't it possible that what you are doing is what you should be doing at this time in your life? As it pertains to the Christian faith, Do you actually have freewill or are you just being controlled into believing that your will is your own and that if you do not follow what they say to b
paxx - The moon has lost a lot of its magic since mankind has stepped on it. Ever read up on the motivation behind the movie Caperacorn One? Also has anyone looked into why the Russians never went to the moon or why we haven't been back since? Interesting stuff indeed.
feline - personally i accept the existence of god as an observed fact. i also realize that humans are not god. since human language is understandable by humans, any true attempt to describe god (beyond human) in human language is bound to fail. Humans as an individual are not god but life as a whole is and that, as a fact, will not fail. Now one may "fail" to see this but as a constant it is true. What exactly is "human" language? Can we not communicate without words? Can we not express
Every religion comes down to 2 things. What is right and what is wrong. But ultimately who are we to tell another what is right or wrong for them? jcg - Religion, as it has been for many thousands of years, is used to control. It is used to place fear into the unknowing and in turn keeps them in line and out of the way. Jesus was a terrorist. He had a new way for people to live, but it went against the Romans so what did they do? They crucified him because he threatened their power and
I also think that renaming the catagory to "religious" would be suitable.
A man requested: Tell my brothers to divide my fathers things with me. Jesus replied: Who made me a divider? Turning to his disciples, he said: Do i divide things up?
If people would just stop making XP skinz then we wouldn't have that problem 0.02
Can they make things any bigger? I mean look at the size of those buttons (take your pick of which ones)... and that start bar, MAN! 0.02
