If you copy someone's art I don't think it is forgery unless you claim that it was done by the original artist. If you post your copy on the web, it may be a copyright violation. Certainly if you use your copy in a commercial setting or to make money it is a copyright violation. As far as skins go, it seems like a much less black and white situation because of the limitations of skinning. It doesn't seem fair that if someone uses a gradient to make a flat surface look curved, then no-on
go to Control Panel > Display > Appearance > click on the button to the right of Sub Design: I find the gamma adjustment to be very useful. Many skins are darker than I prefer until I lighten them a little.
How do you make a snapshot of your desktop? I'd like to submit a new skin and need to know how to get a shot of the start menu and the taskbar.

On the main page, at the top, where it says SEARCH, choose category = WINXP, then click on GO. This works just like the old WinXP link. Nothing is broken and there are no extra steps.
Until this thread I didn't realize that the Search bar has a drop down menu with WinXP as a selection. So this can be chosen from the main page. It also has a "Sort by" menu with "Update date" as a selection. This option doesn't work correctly, because you always set the Update Date equal to the "Created date". The update date should be set to zeros until there is an update. Then only the updated files would appear at the top of a search by update date. This could be fixed by setting the Update
Thanks for the link. I just finished downloading the file.
