All went smooth here. This software is probably the most essential, useful that I own. Love the start menu docklet. I'm not using it in my current setup but I can see that it will be used in the future. Good job! Love it!

Astyanax0 - For someone who is only 19 sounds like you have quite a job. You must be very sharp. The computer that you are talking about is your home rig? The reason I ask is that I have found there to be a big difference between a computer that people customize for personal use and the ones that are used on the job. In my case the Mac I use at work is still running 9.2. Our only OSX machine is only up to 10.3 because 10.4 had trouble communicating with the older pc servers and Mac mach

I use 2 different types of Macs at work and 2000 professional. At home it's XP home. So I've been around the block a few times. I've only played with Vista in the store. There are so many things that can affect the speed a computer runs at. Astyanax0 - Is the XP computer you use at work connected to a network? What sort of work is the computer used for? Is the computer defragged and are all the service packs installed? Has the registry been cleaned? Is it spyware and virus free? All these things

Why should OEM XP be phased out? Vista Vista Vista - I am sick of hearing about it! Having said that it's because my machine could only run basic and I can't afford a new machine. Sour grapes. On the other hand it would be wise of Microsoft to give people more choice in what OS they can have.

I have never had this issue but one thing I have done which sometimes works when things get crazy is going back to an earlier restore point. Say 3 days ago everything was fine. Go back and restore to then. The only thing you'd lose would be new apps installed. I think it restores the registry that was good at that time. Sometimes it's an easy fix! Worth a try.

It's bad enough that you gotta take a P test! I don't like them. I've only had to take one in 54 years and I resented it. It doesn't matter that I passed it, that's not the point. It's my body and unless I want no one else should have a right to mess with it. Just because you are in a job that requires a P test don't take it out on everybody else. If you don't like it get another job that doesn't require a P test! I hope you never have to take public aid and don't say you never will. I was at a

It ain't worth 20 bucks! Maybe 5.95. Counting up all the software & skins I have purchased you would think they would bestow these wonderful (you got to be kidding that they are trying to sell subscriptions with this stuff the next thing you know they will say that Iraq had WMD'S!) benefits on me. Get it? They are trying to make this look better than it really is. My opinion will be slammed but I don't care because I KISS NO ONE'S ASS! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Gasp.gif" bo

Gotta have 'em! Maybe they have been over hyped but I value the useful ones. When I submit a screen shot I like it to be as I really use it so my shots usually aren't filled up with a lot of widgets. The one I did for Synthek used a lot of different elements but even then I thought it was very practical. Make it cool but useful is what I think.

Whenever I try to Search in XP. the regular search with the dog, MS Office 2003 tries to install and when I cancel it Explorer crashes. I can't figure it out. I'd like to just uninstall Office 2003. It came with the computer but of course you have to pay to use it. I use Open Office anyway. I'm afarid to uninstall Office 2003. Would it screw up Outlook. The old Outlook. In lieu of the regular search I got Windows Desktop Search. I stopped it from starting with Windows. Why Oh Why does thi

Hear! Hear! Frogboy! I agree. There is a middle ground of taste and I don't see any problem with what was posted either SK. There's some programs on prime time TV that show worse stuff than most anything I've seen here. I'm all grown up and I don't mind a little "cheese cake" every now and then! There is a difference between out and out porno and a little skin!

This is right up my alley. Yes you can run both at the same time. I have used Aston for years. Aston is different in that it replaces explorer. What you see on the desktop is not what you see underneath. Your folder windows etc are not skinned with Aston so you get whatever you had there unless you run WB. It's wonderful on the desktop however. You'll lose your start menu as you know it. Also I've found that Icon Packager works under Aston but not all icons get applied. Aston can be tricky to co
