Hilarious. And you know what? I feel so much the same way you do. I've given up on trying to fit the social norm for shopping and dressing. Lucky me I don't have to live up to any standard of Corporate America's ever-changing styles. But I too hate the empty look in people's eyes & souls at shopping malls. And I don't want to be like them. I'm all about safety pins too. It makes getting dressed a lot easier. No extra trips to the store, y'kno

Starting a blog, it gets lots of comments, the author is a no-show or only respond to some and not all. What's that about? Its not nice to pretend someone isn't there. And deleting them is not PC. Sometimes this happens to me...I get a handful of comments but am not ready to reply because I need to thi

Super precious girl. We can tell you love her immensely They say you can't truly spoil a child that first year. They drink up every bit of love and attention and it's all good for them

Sure there are programs that are just nonsense and totally useless to some of us, but it's up to you to weed out the good from the bad, the one that does make a difference, to the one that scares the heck out of you with it's depiction of nightmarish ideas or ideals. I remember mentioning on your pre

"It wasn't your husband, BUT..." And I find out which family we will be putting together meals and sympathy cards for. Are these soldiers in your husband's battaliion / company? <TD class="mb-Body-Qu

It's adorable that he did his drawings unprompted. What a precious little child. Thanks Tex, kids are so neat sometimes huh? And yes you summed it up that he did the drawings unprompted. Now if only I could have said it in so few words...For some reason I felt like I had to tell the whole dang story! Thanks for sticking with me through the long

I've found that the healthiest, happiest people are those who give little thought to how their bodies look -- but they can't help looking good because they eat well and exercise because that's simply what feels good and makes them happy There's a sick obsession in our society that some people just can't seem to get out of: vanity and body obsession. It's poison to the min

Hehe. I have to tell you something funny. I was just transferring these recent two chapters to a Word document, tacking them on to the end of the first 25 chapters... Then suddenly a window in Word pops up that says, There are too many spelling or grammatical errors in "Cade Series by Tova7.doc" to continue displaying them. To check the spelling and grammar of this document, choose Spelling and Grammar from the Tools menu. I

I'm not going to do the whole "You think you're big? Look at me!" thing because that doesn't make ANYONE feel good. Comparisons aren't necessary, but I'd love to see you. You know how much you love taking pictures! <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="mb-Bo

OK, these pictures have been floating around the house for a couple months, I'm trying to get organized but I couldn't bear to throw these away or simply file them to be forgotten. So here they are, preceded by a brief explanation, otherwise they're just scribbly pictures with no meaning: In August Michael took a liking to two pictures that

I sprayed it with AquaNet and he hit it with a shoe to make sure it was dead. Aqua Net used to be my bug killer of choice too! In fact, I never used it on my hair. Just bugs. It works like a charm. I don't like spiders either. But I'm worse than you I think. I can't even bear to see one -- you

It looks as if the court martial has not taken place yet but the Army had added another charge against him in recent weeks. Thanks for looking into it chiprj. Yeah, as I've been thinking about this throughout the day, I hope he gets hit hard, even if only to set an example for those who might join the military but hope to "get out of" b

What your "hero" is, is a lazy coward who stole every dime he was "paid" in salary, benefits and training. Don't get me wrong, he's nobody's hero. But I do think there are a lot more people out there who feel just as strongly as he did about how lame this war is, but they continue to do their jobs obed

I was heated and fascinated by this story over the summer: a 1LT who refused to follow orders to deploy to Iraq with his brigade. Desertion is no laughing matter. But.... my thoughts on it were: If every military person who felt the same way he did decided to make such a bold assertion against the war, there would be a LOT of people refusing orders to Iraq.

OK, I know I'm catching this late, but it definitely caught my eye. Has she tackled her room since you last posted? She sounds like a busy, happy teen. Does she not spend much time at home? Maybe she views her room as an occasional pit stop in her busy life, and gives no thought whatsoever to keeping that pit stop organized. Soon enough she'll be out on her own, responsible for the upkeep of her own place...and if she doesn't develop some sense of domicile organization now, th

HHmmmm...The general poulation does not cheat? That must be why the divorce rate in America is over 55%, and another 23% for those of the firt batch fail after they remarry. Seems pretty indicative to me. That's sad. I guess I maintained some hope that the general population was wiser & stronger than

I proposed to my husband. There were no rings or bended knees or anything. But it was more like a conversation. Actually it's all a little blurry to me. See, I also clearly remember when he was in basic training he mailed me a diamond ring...and yammered on uneloquently in a letter about how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. I can't remember which happened first though. I think it's fine for a woman to propose

Neat-o! How'd you do that? (I wouldn't comprehend the specifics of how your porch was torn down--but how did you animate the picture?)

"You've really been letting yourself go lately. " Yes, my husband actually said that to me a couple weeks ago. I kindly reminded him that I'm pregnant. And that he did it to me. Of course he was only joking though. We share a bitterly sarcastic sense of humor. So after barking back at him, how could I help but to laugh at the absurdity of it all? <B
