"I believe this lapse, serious as it is, does not reflect the character of myself." I would love to know just what these clowns DO think reflects their character.

After hearing you talk about missing the changing of seasons, I wanted to share New England Autumn with you, so hubby and I took a drive Monday and I captured these with you in mind. :) Enjoy! <img src="http://home.ripway.

I got to ask. DO you think it is just some kind of egotism? If you live right, then you dont have to worry. SO I dont. (But you gave me a great idea). I honestly think the answer to that varies from person to person. For some? Definitely. Others are merely curious and have a preoccupation with eschatology.

I always get a kick out of end times guru's. Do they not realize that EVERY generation has believed itself to be in "the last days"? I do believe the time is close... but heck. Time is relevant. I'm sure that during World War II there were people running around crying, "This is it! 'Wars and rumors of wars!'" Yeah, they believed it was close too. I'll give ya this much... it's closer than it was yesterday. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/JU/smiles

I have to say... I've only been here for a short time, but I've never paid much attention to the lists. I found JU because a friend began blogging here. Initially, I only came to keep up on what was going on with him (his blog is more of a personal journal than anything else.) After visiting to read his blog for a bit I started exploring. When someone posted to his blog and their response intrigued me, or peaked my curiosity, I visited their blog. <BR

I'm a pessimist by nature too. If I don't expect too much, then I don't get let down as often. *wry smile*

(((((((((((((Karen)))))))))))))))))) The waiting must be so difficult. I know that you understand this can't be easy for her either. She probably has as much emotional yo-yo'ing goinnng on as you do. I understand your hating the limbo though. If there's one thing I can't stand... it's not being in control of my life, and I can imagine the situation you're in would make me feel just that. Hang in there, girl... praying for you.

There are a few people here that I'd LOVE to get to know better and have a friendship away from JU with. it's kind of hard though....I mean, I don't want to email thses folks and say 'will you please be my friend?'..... I would... e-mail away. What's the worst they can say? "No"? I doubt you'd get that respo

Add to the fact that someone who claims to be so enlightened as yourself would deem opinions "dangerous" in a free society, and state openly that people's opinions make it reasonable to throw them to the lions... well... bigoted and hypocitical are the best words that fit. Your own treatment of Erwin in your article SURPASSES everything you accuse him of.

Chak... thank you for this: It's a shame that Icon deleted HC's post. Those christians who are simply trying to live ordinary humble lives of compassion and service to others, open-minded enough to be admit when they are unsure of things, but clear enough about what matters to them and navigating to a steady moral compas
