Pathetic. An attempt to "get back at society"?? People who think the world (and the people in it) "owes" them really irritate me. And for the record, I never thought of New Orleans as a "sophisticated" city, myself. .
Love it, love it, love it!
My question to you is this: How does god guide you? What events make you believe that god himself has shown you a passage that you find useful or comforting? I don't just close my eyes, point, and have my fingers fall on exactly the words I need, if that's what you're asking. <img src="../images/smiles/smil
Kind of like the french fries you ordered with that burger, eh? Ooo, or a gallon of gas. ... yeah. Kinda like that... <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=cent
I'm grateful... for the freedoms my country affords me for my family (both immediate and extended) for friends who know me so well and yet love me anyway for the material blessings in my life for my health, physical and mental for opportunities to express my thankfulness. Thanks, Elie <img src="http://images.stardock.com/JU/smile
Therefore, people pray for what they want to happen, hoping for what they want but with a realization that what will happen will happen, and because they have prayed, they can accept the outcome as being "what's best" and assign positive meaning to it. This assumes that the only things prayed for are percei
Jesus said, "You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it." The phrase many Christians like to overlook is that "in my name". It's not like rubbing a genie's bottle and so long as you pray "in Jesus' name, Amen" you'll have what you're asked for. The phrase "in my name" means basically, "according to My will"... I share the desires of my heart with the Father, yet the bottom line is that I want His will to be done, so I'm willing to accept
Good job, doc AALLLL LOV
Glad she''s recovering well and will be home soon!
I have to ask you this, though: how would you have felt if you had prayed for your child or for your taxes and those prayers hadn't been answered? Would that have put a dent in your faith or caused you to re-assess where you're at? Honestly, I can't say with absolute certainty, because I don't think we can know how we will react in any given situatio
Christianity, for me, was where I found fulfillment. I tried to find it in a myriad of other things, athough not necessarily religion, but when my life bottomed out, I had to look up and I found a Savior waiting for me with open arms, in spite of the mess I had made of my life and the things I had done. I'm not sure how to share with you how real God is in my life. I could spout all kinds of promises from the Bible that have proven to be true
Paying too much rent for my one bedroom apartment that my husband and I live in! ... I have friends who moved to Long Island last year, mostly because she grew up there and her family was there. We spent a week with them last May and loved it...

Just keep writing off the NYG... you might be suprised. Is this directed to everyone in general, or just me? I couldn't possibly root for the Giants...

I'd love to think my Pats are gonna take at least the AFC again... but with Johnson and especially Bruschi out of the picture... gotta say this NE belle is cautiously optimistic.
It's tough to be the mediator... to be the voice of reason in the midst of what seems to be insanity. Wish I had advice. Best of luck to you, Bailey. Go with your heart.
As I drove my daughter to work this afternoon this comment is yelled from the back seat: "That store's a RIP OFF!!" I laughed. "What makes you say that?" I asked. "Well... they put that shirt up on a hanger outside the store!" It still wasn't computing with me. "Noah, do you even know what a rip-off is?" "It's when they try to tri

Quote: "When i hear some of the things they say (what i can hear) i just shake my head, wondering why children (my niece is 11) so young are alowed to listen to the rap that talks about murder, sex, etc... *shakes head* It makes me wonder." Why allow it? I realize that you, as an uncle, might not have control over what they do when they're not with you - that's up to their parents... but in your own home, you can certainly say what is acceptable a
