I think He could hang... but I also think He was always about His Father's business. The wedding in Cana is a perfect example. Why was Jesus there? John (2:1-2) tells us only that He and His disciples were invited. Sounds like hanging out to me.... and yet it was also the occasion of His first miracle. It's one of the wonderful things about the Christian life. The working out of our faith happens in the midst of ordinary life. Jesus always had

Aaaaaaaw... I was hoping the Colts would take it, mostly because I like Tony Dungee and have a very soft spot in my heart for him right now. I can't beleive Vanderjagt missed that kick. Felt like all the air got deflated out of my optimism balloon. Ah, well... I generally like the underdog too... guess I might have to start rooting for the Steelers. *sniff, sniff* Still depressed over my Pats' loss. Heck... that wasn't football. It was Captu

Thankfully, it's not an attitude that permeates YOUR home. Your children will grow up to be mature adults who recognize the importance (and reward) of a good work ethic... and they will grow up knowing that money does NOT equal love. Imagine what would happen to that kid if at some point, his parents lost EVERTHING. Where will he find his identity? THAT scares me. Your children are blessed to live in a home that is real and to experience authentic love

How about a game of trivia? Going through the letters of the alphabet (more than once, depending on participation), post the name of a person, place, or thing in the Bible, along with the Scripture it's found in.... we'll call it Bible Trivia 101? LOL.... I'll start to give you an example... A........... ADAM: And out of the ground

i wrote about this for class, and when i read the article, i almost cried. the piece in the paper quoted almost her entire account, and at one point she even used the words he told her after it happened against him. i can't even imagine. Very VERY sad... and tragic. I don't want to imagine it either. <BR

I so need to do this in my LR. My curtains are so... so... drab. It's a dark room. The walls are white, but we have a big brick fireplace and wood above the mantel for that... so it seems dark. I need COLOR. Thanks for the motivation to start thinking about it again...

Hmmm... guess I'd better get the sensitive, then Eucerin (I was spelling it wrong) is made by Belersdorf, Inc. It's a heavy duty fragrance free moisturizing creme... but it's so rich that if you put it anywhere that's not completely dry, it ends up being greasy. That's why it was so good for burn patients' skin... it softens the scar tissue. Ingredients are:

That's why it's a proven fact that most of the time the predator is someone the victim knows. Sad, isn't it? I pray she finds some peace as well. I do to

My daughter (age 10) has two American Girl Dolls... lots of accessories, and a subscription to American Girl Magazine that is due to expire. I debated sharing this with my daughter. Frankly, I thought she was too young to be burdened with a discussion about abortion and sexuality, among other things. In the end, I changed my mind. She'll hear it anyway, I'd rather it come from me. We talked about the company's support of Girls, Inc. We discuss

Thanks! I'll have to check it out and see... gonna go pick up one of those cleansers and some MOM and see what happens. I've been using Clean and Clear for the past week or so... but don't think it's "sensitive skin." Does that make a difference? I've been putting Eucerine (a moisturizing cream I discovered at the burn center) on only the dry flaky parts. My forehead and eyebrows tend to get VERY dried out. Sometimes the ridge just ousid

That disgusts me more than anything else! Predators like the seargent will be with us always, and they must be rooted out. But when the pastor and then the church members blamed her? How sick is that? That is not a house of god, but a bordello of putrid sinners. But I am sure they go to Church each Sunday and proclaim to all

This shows the total lack of human compassion in the "justice" system. I agree. I understand wanting to save her the pain of a trial, but in my mind... this should NEVER have been plead out this low. Talk about extremes!

Nice review! I'll be coming back to it, I know. Gotta figure out what's up with my skin. I have that dreaded combination skin... greasy and dry at the same time. I've tried Neutrogena, and also Clean and Clear cleansers... but haven't found anything that really blows me away. Maybe one of these will. Nice to SEE you... I knew ya could do it! Now if only I could have skin like Y

HC...I agree with you about the condition of the heart.... Anyway, very nice. I don't think I will ever read the Biblical account again without these images in my mind. I've never thought about historical fiction about Biblical stories...what a great idea! Do a bunch of them and get published!! You obviously

My desk is clear... It's a corner desk, so not very big. I have stacks of notebooks, bibles and study guides on a file cabinet to the left of it (that acts as a table too). My printer is on a tray to the right of it with my Dayrunner binder sitting open to this month on top of that. I'm pretty organized with my desk. The rest of my house...well... that's another story. *grins* Check out flylady.com, FS... talk about purging! Dang... g

Imagine the scene. You've been a victim for years. You wake in the morning stiff and bruised, the recipient of repeated beatings and verbal assaults. You struggle with feelings of inferiority and insecurity. Then one day a knight in shining armor comes on the scene and plucks you from your misery. A respected police officer, he takes you to his
