The real problem is not because you are doing XP skin. You are saying to everybody "I have submitted my last work on XP so I make a simple request for others to do that." the only way I saw to have nice icons with anti-alias is with DesktopX. It will not skin all your icons, only your desktop, but it's doing a great job. You can have degree of trans, shadows....
