http://skinartistry.com/request.php?download.134 Dragon Style VS... oops...went "back" too far. Check it out anyway.
Are you using Windowblinds? If so, is the skin one you've downloaded? If it's your own skin, make sure your text colour settings are not the same color as your button/tab. A screen shot of the problem would help.
To change your display to 32bit, right-click on desktop; left-click on "properties". Your display properties window will appear. Click the "settings" tab; on the right, middle portion of this box, there is an option "color quality". Change to 32bit here. You should have WB Config up to change your wallpaper settings. Double-click the WindowBlinds Icon in your system tray. Click on "basic settings" in the WB Configuration utility. Make sure that "apply any wallpaper supplied" is
In addition, the text color won't change with mouseover. Font color can be changed for "mouseover", if you do not assign an image to the "item". This is also true with the "personality menu background" (or the right click menu we all know). Wish this WOULD change, I've had some nice ideas smashed because of WB not able to skin the fonts/color
Now that I have said something, it's only a flash for a page to load...go figure.
It takes my dsl about the same amount of time to load the page as to read the page with 33 posts in a thread...some days it;s like stoneblue says, and I gotta go and find something else to do for a few hours. Ok, so it's only a few minutes, but it sure feels like hours when I can d/l "SP2 redistributable" in 15 minutes and that is a 266 mb file.
Oh my god! What will I do?!! Oh well, tomorrow til I wait will.
I have done it again...Maximum Activation Reached. Email has been sent to [email protected]. I can't live without my WB...can we get someone on this ASAP???!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!
And said, You ain't seen nothin' yet B-B-B-Baby, you just ain't seen n-n-n-nothin' yet For some reason, I have "Freeze Frame" playing in my head now....can we get out of the eighties with the lyrics! <img src="htt
Happy Easter, to everyone in this little WC community. And, hey, does anyone know what is the best Easter Egg color?

Neil may have it... In SKS, under Toolbars, you'll find ToolbarBackground. This may be the "menubar" you are "missing".
Tried using the ThemeManager that Alienware uses for its GUIse suites?
I've only been in the WC community a short while, so bare with me... I was looking for something to go with litestep, and I stumbled on Avenger. This brought me to the sysmetrix skin and finally WB. Once I found WB, litestep has been on the back burner. No one really comes up with eye-popping coolness with Litestep, save for Obsidian here of late. And Litestep won't skin all the aspects of Windows. I would have to say Avenger
I don't use WinZip. I use 7Zip. But they should be similar. Here's how I just d/l and installed GT3 OS: 1. Download .zip file to My Documents/GT3OSwb 2. Open archive: GTOSWB.zip 3. I see that it has a .wba file and a folder. 4. Double-clicked .wba file, 7Zip opens it to see what it contains. 5. I see that it has lots of images, and other files. I believe it to be a WB .zip with extention .wba 6. I
Originality. Functionality. You do great work! So, what, did you run out of inspiration??? Can't beleive that. How about something non-Vista-esque, or OS X ported. Hey! KDE hasn't been seen, or GNOME. But they are rather bland and you can jsut use LiteStep on those. Something that uses the old plugins...the clock, wbamp...and some animations. I haven't many really cool animations-the taskbar for exampl
Ok, so I don't have a lot of stuff submitted. But I do have two skins. I think the first one I submitted sucks. I admit, it was truly a first-timers submittion. My second skin, well I worked hard and don't have the experience that some have in quick design with Adobe or Corel. I use GIMP and a lot of close-up pixel-ing. I am currently working on two skins, one to match an existing Litestep by Immortal&Bates and one for my own fancy. I
Nice work Po!
Oh and "per-pixel" is what makes it possible for you to put shadows and transluscent borders in your skin. This is done with great creativity on your part and the use of .pngs in your graphic editor. There are a number of tutorials on the subject if you do a search in the Articles.
noReflection: for some reason, the way that works with the LogOn/Switch User buttons is that if you have a Background image for the LogOn/Switch...You don't get to see the highlight. But If you check out say for instance the way it's been done in Mike Bryant's Cyclops skin, he has done it backwards to what you would think it works. His Background are the round buttons, with the highlight .pnged in there nicely. His buttons are actually just a blank
RIGHT CLICK NEEDS .PNG SUPPORT!!! Right click's skin editor has the following error on opening: "CLR error: 80004005". I see that .NET 2.0 Final is needed for it to work. I have uninstalled all .NET and reinstalled .NET Framework 2.0 to no avail. I realize I can still make a skin with the method Lantec has described, but, but, but it should at least open for me! <img src="http://images3.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Ew.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddl
Just changing the taskbar from locked to unlocked works too This happens when using SKS and applying a skin in progress on my system. Locking and unlocking fixes. This happened when using the ATI 9800 se, and I now have an nVidia 6200 that has no problems with the transparency/transluscency effects
Then the background pick won't be in the desktopX theme.....(!?)
I love that SysInternals site.
