And you should stop being disrespectful of me. But, hey, I tried to keep it on subject and not et personal, although its what I have come to expect. I refer you to my other forum post made today Link BTW allegations are NOT considered proof

Just because you can find a story about something, it doesn't make it true. So because something ridiculous turns up in the news then all news is ridiculous? I find that argument totally ridiculous "It has been reported that Nessie has been seen in Scotland, therefore there is

the original poster said Evidence surely witnesses and experience of a situation counts along the lnes of evidence? Why do the courts call witnesses to give testimonies? Why do police take statements from people? Is it not so the jury can then make a judgement based on these pieces of evidence

When did you stop beating your wife BTW? I'm not married, but thanks for the inappropriate comparison. I'm sure if it was just you, someone who didn't know me, didn't know my character and lack of temper, integrity and faith, it would be a groundless allegation. Yet if some people who did know me, had s

I have noticed a trend in the two different types of posters on this site. One side are prepared to strongly debate their argument, giving time for the opposing voices to be heard and considered. The other side label people as "liberals" at the first show of disagreement and then set their views in stone about what this person thinks and believes, spiralling down into personal attacks. Is this fair assessment? <img src="http:

You don't detain a man that has been found guilty, you imprison him. You detain someone that you suspect of being guilty. Ok, point taken, but you knew what I meant, I'm sure. <TD class="mb-Body-Quote-

What is this Christian Flag of which you speak? I am not American, but I am a Christian, and have never come into contact with it. I'm quite glad actually because the artilce writer is spot on when they question pledging allegiance to anything but Christ. Although we are to hold the Bible up as God breathed word, if I were to have to choose between Jesus and the Bible I would have to choose Jesus

I guess the Democratic and obviously European approach would be to simply let them go about the business of blowing up buildings and killing innocent people and make the job of the government to merely eulogize and mourn the dead. Go forbid we actually do anything about it. I was thinking more of arres

No, what are you trying to present yourself as? Michael Moore maybe? Just because I don't agree with the Bush administration does not mean I am a "Moore-ite". You seem incapable of seeing the other side of the argument in a rational way. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#F

I never intended this to be an Iraq war discussion. I think we are getting distracted away from what I wanted talk about which was the isue of debt and trade laws in Africa and the developing world. Do you have any thoughts on that?

Yes, by not waging war after the first attack on our country, Clinton showed weakness and gave the terrorists more time to prepare. We are at war now, the terrorists are on the run now. Are you meaning to present yourself as an American caricature?

Not really. Saddam was putting 10 of thousands of people in mass graves, gassing his own people, widespread torture, and invading neighboring countries. Tell me again how it's a different case. No right thinking person would deny that Saddam was "a bad man" and that it is better that he is not in charge

I am not hiding behind anything. Good responding argument....I am now convinced of everything you say.....hmmm Was it illegal when Clinton went after Melosivic?

And on the other hand "we" don't understand people like you either How do you know what I am like, or have you branded me a liberal, or a lefty, just because I have questions the decisions of the Bush adminstration, thereby negating anything I say and consigning my opinion to the junk pile?

You cannot go after every dictator at the same time, you have to start somewhere. Is this not illegal under international law? This is a deeply worrying statement. There

Now, I am trying to figure out what about Guantanamo you disagree with? What do we have in common with North Korea and The Soviet Union? Understand this, these people being held do not merely have an opposing view of our government, they do not merely disagree with our religious practices. No, these are people that hate your stin

At best it's a tired old arguement that has been shown to be a false assumption many times over! Were you talking about oil here, or the presence of WMDs, or the immediate threat posed by Iraq, or maybe the links between Saddam and Al Quaeda?

Deseased Humanity is the one that made it about the war with this comment I wasn't blaming anyone, just making a point about not wanting to get into another discussion about the rights and wrongs of why the Iraq war came about, just contrasting a couple of issues that seem bizarre to me

This tells me that these activists don't care about solving the problems in these nations, they only care about attacking our president on every front. And I'm not just out to attack the president (your president, as I am not American) I was just baffled by the choices that the most powerful country in

Debt relief will not solve the problems in Africa. Do you truly feel that the racist policies of many African countries (against whites, as a rule) should be upheld and endorsed by this administration, or that the oppression of political dissidents should be financially underwritten? I agree it is not a
