Thx Laoran....I would direct support questions to SD/WC, but I have a feeling they have their HANDS FULL helping others far worse off than me....the only minor thing is no system tray icon...it shows up on my start panel & desktop (which I had previously). It's just that I don't want to lose all my skins to this if possible. Thx

Laoran, Just wanted to post this: Everything seems fine on my system after installing wb 4.90a[b].002 - the only thing different from you is my skins take about 20 seconds or thereabout to load after the "Please Wait" sign pops-up. I don't use the Logon app but most everything else works fine, IC Pack, Rt.Clk, Icon Dev, Icon X, S

Hmm, I wonder if running: (Before WB 5 Beta Install) regsvr32 /u jscript.dll regsvr32 /u vbscript.dll Would help correct some issues? I've seen the commands correct everything from Windows Update issues, to Codec issues in WMP and other various WMP issues. Who knows? The Shadow I suppose. Damn jscript and vbscript DLLs. Gotta love how programs pick and choose which computers to work on, and which ones not to work on. I'll just pray I'm fortunate I suppose. But, as a techie of sorts I would still like to find out what's causing it.. If that's possible when about 7 million things factor in. Lol

From what my friends told me about it working odd, I wonder if this isn't just a ATI and WB 5 compatibility issue? They all have a make of an ATI graphics card.. and I have my crap a*s Intel on-board 48MBer. Lol.

I'll install Vista when I have a Full , non-beta copy. WindowBlinds 5 Beta offers me it's georgeous graphics almost... So why stress over changing my OS when everything else works in it perfectly? I don't even feel like wasting the disk space dual booting vista beta.. lol

I can't say I've had any issues at all. The beta makes everything look beautiful and applies skins a lot faster than the old WB. I still have full functionailty of all of my other Stardock products as well. However, I see no tray icon? I'd imagine that's due to it being more integrated with Windows... They're just making it so we don't all DL it at the exact same time. The ones like me whom have closed and re-opened SD Central about 9,000,000 times in the past 10 minutes will prolly find it first. Then everyone else "the patient types" will get it 2 minutes after or whenever they open SD Central. Ok all promised an update on the SD Central/WC Browser integration. As far as I can tell (I'm in SD Central) there is no difference at all in using WC Browser or SD Central. SD Central, however, allows access to your ObjectDesktop apps. (as usual). Furthermore, If you are an ObjectDesktop user, then I would say just use SD Central so it's all in one with your Stardock products and they can let you know when updates are available as well. That's my

Well the WC Browser is basically the "building block" of some of the SD Browser functionality. From the way I view it. After you become a WC subscriber and go into your SD Browser and specify in the settings that you are a WC Subscriber it will allow you to do the same things in the SD Browser as you can also do in the WC Browser, and also have access to your ObjectDesktop "suite" of applications as you did already. Now whether or not the WC Browser

Very Good!.. I was hoping the beta wouldn't show up late. As soon as I get home after leaving the hotel, I'll be sure to check it out! I'm soo excited about it, I went "WooHOO!" when I seen the post. People at the hotel now think I hate the Green Bay Packers. Lol.. Long story.

Hmm. Well the defaulting to the last newsgroup I managed to fix by selecting "clear recent URL address list" under Web Browser in Settings. But, it would still be cool if I could have Opera open the links instead of IE. Or, just have it actually open the links instead of a blank IE. BTW. I'm using the WC Browser version 2.00.021 (The newest, I believe) <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/

Hey All, This is my only complaint about the WC Browser and probably my fault I would imagine. Every time I close and re-open the browser and click on the News/Web Browser button, it tends to default back to my last newsgroup where I posted. I'm not sure why? In addition, If there's a way to change the "open link in default windows browser" option to Opera I'd be grateful, since that's actually my default windows browser.. Lol.. I'd

I subscribe to W.C. and im a stardock customer. I subscribed during one of the past subscription drives. I felt the need to help this community, because it gave me so much and asked so little. I wish that others felt the need to give back.... That's my main reason for my change of mind. I looked a

It's a shame it hear it but doesn't surprise me. It would be a sad day for the customizing community if wc were to close. I would consider it a disaster for WC to close. But in aspect, restricting the site to only WC Subscribers and Stardock customers would probably be more logical to happen first..

Why don't you just read before commenting? Good question. And I have a better answer. Asking the person who made the screen shot on how is pointless. He's a vistor using a WindowBlinds skin created by someone else. The artist of the WindowBlinds skin itself would be the one to ask. Hope I didn't

Hey All, Figured I'd make one more thread in hopes of converting non-WC Subscribers. Let's say Wincustomize.com does become "exclusive" to WC Subscribers and Stardock product owners (Legally, of course), then what are the advantages? -All of the great advantages currently entailed in WC Subscription. -Higher bandwidth across the board, since the "leechers" won't be around any more. -A hopefully, closer com
