I was scanning through posts of Nov/Dec last year, realizing that this Founder's Experience has been going for almost a year now. During that time it's likely that many of us have upgraded from the systems that we originally spec'd out a year ago. I know I have... It would probably be interesting for the SCO team to get an updated view of Founders' tech specs and publish a comparison of findings, for their benefit and our interest. Cross-post. Grrr. [e digicons]:cylon:[/e] Gelatinous space-cube. Stuns and causes damage by slamming into its opponent at high speed and then slowly engulfs its victim by extending pseudopods to pull the targeted ship into itself. For a twist, inorganic material gets absorbed while the crew ends up stuck in the gel-o until expelled into space. Big cube. And it has to be of a very slightly tr

Loved the music. Feet couldn't stop popping. Enjoyed the bit of detail in the Lore/Backstory. I liked the SCO maps as they really give a sense of immensity and...opportunity! I can't wait to play with them. Super-Melee! I like the choices that you made. Love the ships. For a ship suggestion, what about a gelatinous space-cube? Thanks for the weekend snack! Shadows are great, easy to turn on/off if there are issues. What are the minimum hw specs that you're aiming for? I've downloaded and watched the video about 5 times, still digesting but here are some initial thoughts. Is this supposed to be a concept demo or a polished trailer? As a concept demo, it's a laid back tour of the game's potential. As a public game trailer, it doesn't draw me in enough. &nbsp

When you put the September stills together with Vaelzad's comments earlier in the thread, it makes sense. Land in the wrong spot initially and you may not have the option to move your ship afterwards...conversely, there may be something interesting to land on where you only have one opportunity to do so. I obviously haven't tried it out, but I like the feature as presented. As long as it's brief, provides some benefit/non-benefit and furthers the experience/immersion then

Okey-doke. I've spent an hour and traced it down to anti-aliasing settings - things now work if they're off. Here's what I did: Note: my card is an NVIDIA GTX285 From https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/496/161/general-galactic-civilizations-iii-troubleshooting: 1. Applied Permfixer 2. Applied Env Var Missing Path 3. Reinstalled Atlas 4. Verified Game Cache -> received message that 7 files failed to validate a

When I first saw the artwork, I went hmmm...what does this remind me of (besides Spore)? Bullfrog games had a bit of this element, particularly in the cover art (see Populous: The Beginning). I don't mind a cartoony or exaggerated style, as long as the game holds an adult's interest. I like the idea of visual indicators - but not before you've explored the planet. Dialing up the visuals _after_ the planet has been explored would be interesting and it would provide va
