I had to disable Malwarebytes and Windows Defender (Win 8.1) to get the update to install correctly but now Malwarebytes will not run. I get "Instruction tried to access memory location 0x00000000. The location could not be read. Help?! [e digicons]:omg:[/e]

You are correct. I will do as you recommend. Update - A fter reinstalling, whern WB tries to start all I get is a green screen - I have to hit the power buttton to escape.
I installed this (WB 8.05) yesterday and the offending Windows update today and still got the blank desktop. I will remove KB2955164 until I hear more. (You didn't think I'd remove WB, did ya?)

I think I may have found a bug in the WB8 Configuration UI. If I right click on a skin preview and select "Edit Style" or open the menu in the upper left and select "Edit in Skinstudio" nothing happens - I have to open SS manually. Running WB8 Final on Windows 8 Pro.

1: Westinghouse LCM-22w3 2: Hannspree HF229H Both 22" @ 1680x1050 Resolution I can't imagene how I ever got any work done on a single 15" montior @640x480!
My computer is a Gateway with a clean install of Windows 7 (No bloatware, OEM utilities or anything like that.) I'll have to check on the AV angle. As to archiving backgrounds, I thought that a possibility, but I didn't want to do it unless there was a chance it would help. Thanks for the ideas, guys. I'll let you know what I come up with.
