Are you by chance using a USB Remote Control Dongle? (Like for a TV tuner) This has been noted as a problem before and I had it. The only known workaround (AFAIK) is to disconnect the dongle.

I've been getting this error during startup ever since I installed Windowblinds 6 beta. Could WB6 be temporarily shutting off Aero as it starts up? After the computer is fully booted, I can start my DreamScene manually and all is well. If this is a bug in WB6 or Dreamscapes it needs to be addressed and fixed ASAP as it is quite annoying.
