Mark, It's horrible your neice had to experience such an ugly thing. If I was alone I don't know if I could've ignored him. I'm almost certain I would have gone after him especially if he yelled at me, and I am certain I would have been just as loud. But in your situation I think you did the right thing. If I had Rose with me and my brother and his family I wouldn't want any of them to get hurt so I would've avoided any confrontation. Unless he came at me.

Great lyrics. Reading it I think it would make a good blues song. How 'bout Tom Waits singing and Jonny Lang playing? or just have Buddy Guy do both?

She wasn't even my type as I prefer women who don't have a moustache. It's always a good rule not to date a woman with a bigger moustache than yourself.

"I'm no hero", I tell myself out loud as I look in the rearview mirror again for the umpteenth time. I'm headed from town hall where I just received a plaque and the key to the city for rescuing 2 little girls. It's the 2nd honor I received. Yesterday in a town 10 miles east of here (the 2 girls' hometown) I was given a medal and a huge gift card from Wal-Mart. All th

Maryland sweeps Duke in the regular season. Oh what a nice ring that has. Maryland has long held a special place in teams I root for, and them sweeping Duke is a big part of that reason. Maryland at 24 in one poll, unranked in the coaches poll? B.S. Who cares where you end up in the polls? At least college basketball h

Whip, Wunnerful stuff, Maynard. Dark and demented. I like that in a man, real or fictional Thanks, and I knew you would like him. San Cho, Very visceral. Such fun, such fun. And the unanswered questions! Thank you. Now to tackle your challenge. The best thing about it will be reading everybody

Very good, San Cho. You need to wake up in weird, cold sweats more often. The point of "know" return? Such a cool line. It's not a poem; it's just kind of a free write filled with questions I have. I have to disagree with ya. It's most definitely a poem. A beautifully written one. I wonder if it's because I'm a guy I like it so much.

Soon as I started reading your article I knew what it was about. I think it's because I read everything you write. Hey, even a broken clock is right twice a day. Despite knowing, I did enjoy it. It makes me wonder why I can't think of things like that. Keep up the good work.

Mark, It's so cool how you have used little things you have experienced to write some good stuff this week. Keep going! Ride the rush!

No way I could critique poetry but I know what I like when I see it. It's how I feel, too. I liked your poem, Mark. Is it me or have you been a roll lately?

Funny article, Dr. D. A question for you. Have you ever deliberately told a grossout story just to get the last piece of chicken or maybe dessert?

Maso, This was a bloody good read, mate. Kinda reminded me of one of those 'Tales Of The Unexpected' comic stories I loved as a kid. Well written and with an awesome twist. More please! Thanks alot, Mark. It's mean a lot to have someone who's writing you respect to compliment me. Look at the stories just from the latest challenge, and challenge is a good word for it, too since it's very challenging for me to try to stay on par with them. Ro

Shovel, and weird! And twisted! And I LOVED IT! You need to do this writing thing way more often! Thanks so much. Maso's idea for a writing challenge based inspirations from others is .... inspiring. she's in lust with Sam Elliot My mom is the same way. whenever she sees OR hears him talk she always says the same thing, "Now, that's a man". And my younger brother always says the same thing too, "You

Donna, This is just freaky! Good job! What a twist! ! I wouldn't want to be in his shoes at all! Thank you. No, I wouldn't want to be in his shoes, either. I like mine just fine. Loca, <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%

Here's Maso's latest challenge. Link I kinda cheated since I didn't follow the rules.

I feel sick. My stomach is turning. At first from not eating all day then from anxiety. See, it's still light out, and I hardly ever leave home while the sun is still out. I'm no vampire, but I am a monster. A modern day Elephant Man. I live in New York City. My sister and I share an apartment on the 14th floor. Apartment 14B. I know it says 14th floor, bu

I'm probably still buzzing from drinking beer last night....hey I wasn't going anywhere and I wanted to unwind and got tired of drinking red wine....did that rhyme?! Nothing wrong with a little 'unwind' and now and then. I know I like it. Don't wake me when I'm sleeping, they know that but of course they don't care! What's with your family getting up so early on a Sunday? Isn't that against the law? <

And now, my 100th article ... hope you like it. Very good. I really liked it. It's my favorite thing you wrote. Killer sentances, these. The whole piece resonates with a wisdom far beyond your birthdays, my friend. That is so true. I look at some of the wisdom of things Zoo and Braeden has written and ask myself if I could've written something that good at the same age. The answer is always no. Oh well,

They royally suck moose teat. That reminds me of a joke. Two Canadians are sitting in a bar getting bored, so they decide to play twenty questions. The first Canadian tries to think of a subject for his friend to guess and, after a little pondering, comes up with "moose cock." He tells his friend he’s ready to play. "OK," says the second Canadian. "Is it something good to eat?" The first Canadian thinks for a moment, then laugh
