yikes!! maybe you should have clobbered him just for freaking you out!
MamieLady
cool
it's having him tell me "I dont' like that" when I KNOW that he either never touched it or he loved it last time I made it. boy, don't i know it! i think my kids only have one appetite between them, if one kid eats the others don't feel the need to. good thing they take turns on who's eating!<
Having a large family is tough enough when everyone is healthy. Throw in the challenge of moving every two years and the "tough" goes up alot. But stopping at 2 or 3 would mean I never would have met Mamielady or Boogie. That would have been a more terrible hardship than caring for a disabled child. aww
i've always loved this story! can't wait for more.
aahh yes, mommy is the human kleenex! one of my favorites is when my little babies reach their chubby arms out for me for the first time. nice article for Valentine's day. thanks.
it's not that bad everywhere, thank goodness. i just signed up to take cookies to my boy's valentine party, and the PTO has a bake sale every month to raise money for new playground equipment. you should just come live out here. that should help your electrical problems as well. hee hee.
I'd be pissed, too! I hope she feels better - poor thing.
Gideon, I agree with you. Of course my family has the right to make their own choices. I never suggested that they seek my approval for their decisions and I never would. The point I was making was that the things they do choose effect me. As a wife, mother, daughter, sister, citizen, etc. there is hardly a choice I make that doesn't effect someone else. Maybe my example was too personal. If some one in a hurry chooses to run
my two cents on how other people's choices effect me: I am raising 3 ( soon to be 4) children in a family where my siblings and siblings-in-law make choices and choose lifestyles that I don't care to participate in and that i would teach my children not to participate in. This puts me in the unpleasant situation of being accepting and loving of my siblings, despite their choices, while also trying to teach my children differently. I do love
you know Demi's other with Bruce is named Tallulah Belle, making Rumer and Scout sound almost common.
hey, when you come to visit will you help me put a linen cupboard in my upstairs hall? I know you'll only be here a couple of days, but if you can redo a whole bathroom in such little time, it should be no sweat for you!
Lately I threaten to sit on them. It's funny 'cause I'm pregnant - it always makes them laugh. and there's always : ". . . cut it out or I'll chuck you out the window." funniest when said in the basement.
my kids make up Spanish words, too. and then when I correct them (if I know the word) they look at me like I'm the one who just made up a foreign word. they get a lot of their Spanish from Dora. She has a puppy named Perrito (Spanish for puppy), but my boy thinks his name is Burrito. personally, I think Burrito is a better name for a dog than Puppy.
don't you love little girls! mine kisses and cuddles and then pinches and when i yell "ouch" she's the one who gets to cry! how fair is that? very cute picture!
oh darn, and i missed it.
when i was a fly lady all i did was [ U]sweep[/U ] my porch. i thought i was doing pretty good. and beware the magic eraser - it's addictive. i still hope to get back on the fly lady routine, but there's no way i'm wearing shoes. it is a nice feeling to have a shiny sink, though.
i don't like it when my house is too clean, not that it gets that way very often. but when the house is sparkly and fresh i don't want to get it messy, and so i avoid doing any hobbies or fun stuff with the kids. so a too clean house is stifling to my creativity. and we can't have that. i understand your frustration. my husband spent the weekend cleaning the whole house (i haven't done much cleaning lately because of the morning sickness -
but it's perfect grocery list code: honey could you pick up some chem-lites?
rectangles . . . cereal boxes, birthday cards, photographs, books, bar cookies . . . yes, rectangles are good.
stupid moron is wet up to his armpits from climbing the ladder! i guess the whole 'survival of the fittest' lesson in jr. high didn't sink in with everyone.
i have a long list of fixes i need to do as well. my favorite is the toilet tank in the master bath. a chunk of the porcelain above the handle fell out and there is a hairline fracture from the handle down the length of the tank! i know i should replace it quick, but there is a bit of a morbid curiosity involved . . . how long can it hold out? don't despair. it's all part of the joy of owning a home!
eewww! be mushy on your own time! GREAT JOB on those costumes!
you must paint her toenails while she's asleep. good thing she doesn't suck her toes! they're lovely.
no fair, you took mine in your blog. unfortunately with the last name Cox there are some real names you just can't go anywhere near; Ophelia, Harry, etc. I really wanted to name a boy with my maiden name Stone, but that is out for sure. but I wanted to tell you, I went to school with a girl named April May June. too cute, don't you think?
