I remember that Neoplanet used to have really neat throbbers.  And Stardock used to have web blinds... that had throbbers. They were cool I really missed them when they were gone.

Yeah... that animated weather portal is increadibly realistic and detailed.  Tiggz is amazing.  He always makes his DX stuff shine.  This one is special, though.  Really really special.
  I am not sure what  happened, but I have two natural desktops running atm.  CPU is a little high, from 5-10 each, with dx running and everything else its still is less than half. hehe... all those birds sure sound happy, now that there are so many of them.  I think I will leave them a bit and  have a pic nic.....<img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/event

  I was just thinking... in the future maybe peeps could shop through some library and pick up modules.  Beach with surf and gulls.  Space with sci fi sounds and maybe a comet and a passing starship or two.  (weather object would still work there since a traveler that far away would surely miss the sun)  Underwater with ocean fishies and a portal to surface weather... Even a city
I was just thinking that I would like just as much a natural desktop that made use of only one image. The change would come from a gradual dimming at night to a brightening in the morning. Stars could come out...The sounds are nice, but those crickets sound out of place in the snow. Maybe it would be nice to have a selections of quality sounds. As far as I know, any behavior that is considered to be of the porn or soft porn variety in real life is likewise considered to be so when depicted artistically in sketches, cartoon or otherwise.   hehe...  Well, people should get to enjoy what they like as long as it doesn't harm anyone.  I'm glad that there is a lot of diversity here, in humor and politics and art appreciation.  It would be a preeeeeety bland world otherwise.
Well, aside from the fact that those walls all feature *girly girls* (and just don't do it for me) I can see how some from a more conservative lifestyle might not feel comfortable.  But they are OK for the site, I think.  They are "livewithable".   ... One thing I noticed is that the moon is out of phase.  Real moon is a crescent now, isn't it?  Choosing the weather conditions would be very nice.  I live in the city and the traffic keeps me awake sometimes.  It would be nice to have this going... or if the sounds are like a thunderstorm, to choose a storm to sleep by, instead of traffic.  Or, to share someone's weather conditions to get some basic idea of what they are living through... It would be nice
hehe... would be fun to pull up a good ol thunderstorm if I wanted, or maybe snow... so I could remember why I moved to this expensive place.  Some people in Hawaii never did see snow...
