So I have a Nook Color. (What? You thought this was going to be about something else?) It’s fine as an e-reader. However, I watched several youtube videos and discovered it could be so much more!! Like an android tablet, minus the android price tag if I could just figure out what an android does and how to do something called “rooting.” <span style="font-si

My son spends a majority of his money on upgrades for his computer, apps, and techno stuff. Even with the offer of "you save and we'll match" to buy a car....it's just not a priority. He doesn't understand why people have such a problem with him taking the bus. Just

I watched Elvis on tv when I was a little girl. My dad, a musician had his own Elvis impersonation band years later. lol I heard about Elvis' death while sitting in the backseat of my Dad's Vega on a roadtrip from Marysville Ohio to Kentucky. I couldn't believe it. But even as a child I felt it. I've never been a big Beatles fan.

It is amazing the changes Doc. Kids don't "cruise" much around here anymore. (With gas at $4.50 a gallon I can understand why!) Oh well, I'm not lamenting the past... really...heh, just observing the differences. I can only imagine how much will change between now and when my youngest goes off to high school.

Last night we toured my son’s high school. It’s a big place, took over two hours. It occurred to me as I heard yet another teacher explain why “we don’t teach that anymore” how much high school has changed. I don’t just mean technology, (that alone is a serious line of demarcation between then (before internet) and now), but the whole psychology of high school. <span style="font-

Once, when I was a child, I licked the end of a tv antenna while it was on. I don’t know why I did it, but I did. To this day I remember the way it tasted, the metallic bite on the back of the tongue, the acrid aftertaste. Radiation was like that. Acrid, metallic , exhausting . 33 treatments cooked my underarm and the last bit of energy I possessed.</sp

I hope it all works out for you..maybe you should have gotten a bigger church..afterall it's not about the building (unless it's too small, then it will be ALL about the building). Or maybe the reception could be somewhere else....I dunno. I wouldn't want to eat in the sanctuary either...which is weird now that I think about it...I take communion there....hmmmmm. I don't envy you the details, but I am su
People can feel that.
Really? I disagree. I guess it's how you define "intelligent." Obama is an orator. A good orator can fool people into thinking they possess more "knowledge" than they actually do....but that isn't intelligence. I won't say Sarah is smarter, or dumber, but she seems to have more common sense,

I don't think Palin can win. I know too many people who HATE B.O. but wouldn't vote for Palin. (Thank Tina Fey!) I wouldn't mind her as VP, so she could go to DC and learn the culture of corruption from the inside out. And I think she'd be on Fox day and night shouting about the corruption..lol. Where is Condi Rice?? I real
