Vista is an Operating System….not just a program….I don’t know much….but I’m sure that Microsoft is the Industries leading edge in the things that make computing possible in the first place. Just imagine no Microsoft…no windows no programs no stardock. I trust Microsoft to release Vista when the time is right.

ZOOMBA, Thanks for your response….I’ve done as you suggested and unchecked the "Show pre-release versions" and downloaded the 07 updates but 2 programs still show Beta. 1 ObjectBar.... 2 WindowBlinds 5. I have a much better understanding from your reply….but I also still have Betas.

All the hype that you guys at Stardock are trying to create over Object Desktop 2007 is great and all that. But let me ask a question. When will the over one half of the programs in Object Desk top become full and complete programs and not Beta’s? See it’s never said by Stardock that many of the programs are still under development, and there is no way to know until it’s been paid for and downloaded.

OK....this time..not everyone at once.... OK….Seems to me, that what is being said or not being said………If someone has a current subscription to OD, when OD 07 is released, then you will be able to update to OD 07. But in order to receive updates that will allow OD 07 to work with Vista, you will need to have a current subscription when those updates are made available. And that most likely would be sometime after Vista is release to the publ

"Also, with Aero, will OD really be necessary" Yea I asked the same thing on " Brad posted a thread here on the new Object Desktop 2007" Ya know....I just don't think anyone here realy knows how OD 07 will benefit those of us that upgrade to one of the Vistas’ ! But.......I will say, that from what I've seen of Vista, I just don't see needing toy software to play around with th GUI. But I will still use it with my XP.

I’m running the Vista Beta 2 on 1 of my PC’s…..looking at some of the new features and reading about the ones that will be included with the final release…..I’m not sure that I will need to run OD with the new Windows. Can you tell us a little more about how the 07 OD will benefit those of us that upgrade to one of the Vistas’….FMI.

I'm dual booting XP and Vista Beta 2.....on a single HD...with no problems. 1st I would copy all you personal files to a CD or DVD because you will have to Zero out your HD, then reinstall XP but in the install setup part divide your HD into 2 partitions. Format 1 of them and install XP. After you have rebooted your PC with XP, install Vista into the other partition on the HD. Then when you boot up a OS screen will give you a choice of OS's to boot from. I will say that it would be easier on you

It would seem to me that to “distribute” would mean to make money by using the art, pic Ect. Most Bands, Movie Studios and such probably don’t mind amateurs providing free publicity using images that have been put out in the public to promote a product. After all ……we are all amateurs here right? Does anyone make any money by submitting a bootskin, logon or wallpaper?
