dell 2405FPW (24" 1920x1200). about to add either two more and put them in portrait (for 3600x1920) or two 2005FPW's (20.1" 1600x1200) on to the sides. the 20.1" monitors are a lot more affordable, but i'd ideally prefer the monitors of the same model, so that the colors and luminosity match. i will game on all three using SoftTH.

nice pic KP. Blindness (the novel) wasn't a "suspense" story. IMHO it was more like one of those stories about how fragile "civilization" really is, and how easily human beings can and usually do revert to a state of barbarism. but it wasn't as simple as that, as all that depravity and inhumanity was juxtoposed against people who were sensitive, deeply compassionate and openly vulnerable. Sarmago won the novel prize for a reason. i'm just hoping the movie holds a candle to the novel.<

I've got used to Outlook. Word ane Excel are cool if you know what you're doing. XP has been a fine OS for me. but i wouldn't say that i like any of them. i've noticed lag time with new posts for a while now, maybe about a week. i can't tell if it's a consistent lag or sporatic. it is, in my observation, pervasive across the various means where a new post shows up, i.e., in the forum itself, in the recent posts list, and in the forums lists.

i bet if Spore was a better game there wouldn't be quite as much uproar about the copy protection. from what i've seen the game itself looked rather disappointing for all its hype. hell, there were people i know who never game talking and asking me about Spore. from what i've seen it has elements from a number of different games, but none of them are developed enough to be good. a game is more than the sum of its parts. throwing a lot of mediocre small games together does not make one
