This bug has been fixed for 1.2. When you vote on a minimum speed, any constructor ships below that minimum speed will be bumped up to the minimum speed. Any constructors above the minimum speed will keep their current speed. When the UP law expires, any constructors that had their speed increased will revert back to their previous speed.

I've tried to reproduce this and am having trouble. If you save and reload the game, does the icon image still look garbled or blank? If so, please send you saved game to [email protected]. I'd like to take a look at it. Also, if you wouldn't mind posting a screenshot or sending it along with the saved game, please do. Please include a link back to this forum thread in your message. Thank you.

Glad to hear the reinstall helped. About the tech requirement, there is no technology in the original files called "Railgun." I suspect that is why it is crashing. There is "Miniballs" which has the desciption, "Provides space-based railguns." Maybe that is what you meant to use?

Thank you for reporting this (and to the others who reported this in other threads). This will be fixed in version 1.2. Games from previous versions will not be affected and will still have the problem, but new games will use the correct planet quality.

What size galaxy are you on? Check your debug.err file. Are you getting any "A Star Path" related messages?

This is working as designed. Let me explain how it works (using the image you posted as a reference) If you click down on a spot in the lower-left and drag it to the right: Imagine you are grabbing onto a point infront of the ship. That point is then pulled to the right. This causes the ship to rotate counter-clockwise. If you click down on a spot inthe upper-left and drag it to the right: Image you are grabbing onto a point behind the ship. That poi

Zarnik, Try changing your "Tactical Map Zoom Level" option in the options screen. This changes the zoom level at which the ships and planets change to icons and symbols. wayno, Please post your debug.err file. This file can be found in the same folder as galciv2.exe (usually c:\program files\stardock\totalgaming\galciv2 ) Thank you.
