So true. Following God is not easy. Yes he gives us peace and he lightens our burdens but he never promised us a rose garden did he? The tug of the world is very strong. Sometimes I feel I'm the rope in the game of tug of war.

oh....it wasn't to get to the other side? Too funny Ruby. I enjoyed this one!!!
I'm so sorry to hear all this Jill. It's a heartbreaker I know. My nephew died at 3 months old. A hole in his heart at birth and he was operated on and died on the table. it was awful. My SIL was numb. At the funeral looking at that little white casket was unbearable. His big brother, all of three, was wailing in the background wanting his little brother. I remember Errin saying that her arms literally ached for wanting to hold him.
Gotta go with the preacherman here. In the "good book" it says, after death is judgment. There is no second chance to get it right. This is where we make our decision on where we want to spend eternity, that is, if you believe in the bible. I think heaven is a place too awesome to describe. It's a place that no eye has seen or ear heard what God has in store for us. It's called the land of no mores. No more pain, no more crying, no more
I agree it's getting really bad out there. I see alot of this stuff too as a HS coach. The parents either have no clue or don't want to know. We did everything we could to provide our children with positive things to do so they wouldn't resort these types of behavior. Also we talked to them.....alot. Sad to say most parents don't take the time that it takes. We need to be pro-active with our kids, not reactive. And we need to get between
Just wanted to stop by and say hi. So.....HI!! Maybe now I can get to know you a bit better.....
Congratulations! I really think you are going to look back on this and realize it was a very good thing this happened. The best thing you can give your child is a sibling. And the two together will be so cute to watch grow up as you watch them interact with each other. I've known quite a few only children. It's usually not a pretty picture.
think that a lot of the prostlesyzing (sp) that some christians do is simply out of concern for their fellow man. Well this would be me in a nutshell. I know many, many Christians that don't say a word. I was like that once. I read a poem once that maybe I'll find and blog it, (got it somewh
Ya, I only put up the good ones. I LMBO too!! God is good!!
Like I said before.....I really like your Aunt ....she's got spunk!! How is she doing BTW? Pretty much I agree with all you said. I just heard about a childhood friend of my boys. We kind of lost contact since we moved here 8 years ago. But I used to babysit for Reuben. Well anyway...he dropped out of school February of his senior year.....because he turned 18. He now works at a local diner as a cook. I asked why his mother let
double post.....sorry!!
The owner attributes this to pre-marital sex. He believes the honeymoon is no big deal, been there done that is kinda the attitude, now people need something other than each other on their honeymoon to keep them occupied. EXACTLY. How sad too. I've been able to counsel or have discussions with young g

I am not Catholic (anymore) but I did get to wear the little white dress and veil in first grade. I guess I got the best of both worlds. I didn't realize they were still doing Fish on Fridays. The Catholics I know don't do this now.
YIKES....that seems so young! ya I found this out at a teacher conference. I was sitting there with a couple of teachers and they all shook their heads saying, yes it's true after the first teacher told me this. I almost fell off my chair. I felt like I was very sheltered at that moment. T
If Lts learn early to take care of their enlisted folks, listen learn and go to bat for them, they will go far. The best leaders in the AF are really the best in SERVING their enlisted troops. Anytime an officer starts believing the AF couldn't function without his awesome leadership, or the enlisted troops couldn't do their jo
OSAMA & THE GENIE While trying to escape through Pakistan, Osama Bin Laden found a Bottle along the way and picked it up. Suddenly, a female genie rose from the bottle and with a smile said "Master, may I grant you one wish?" "You ignorant unworthy daughter-of-a-dog! Don't you know who I am? I don't need any common woman gi
Congrats on your longevity. It gets so discouraging today to see so many give up when the marriage should be just getting going. We're in our 25th year and I would say it's about as perfect or ideal as one can get. We rarely fight anymore. When we were younger we had some doozies but now it's a rare occurrence. I remember throwing things at him and wouldn't dream of doing that today. I look back and am amazed that I would do such a thing now. <
Wow, I've never even considered line-drying clothes. I thought that was something poor people do...and I felt sorry for them Well we've been poor, inbetween and now are doing very well and I still hang my clothes out. Oh well, I clip coupons also, but that's another blog.....guess habits die hard.....
I just heard alarming figures on a radio show I listen to from Israel. It's called Prophecy Today with Jimmy DeYoung. Anyway they were talking about how there are 3.5 babies born in Europe to Muslim women but only 1.4 to the European Woman that are not Islamic. Islam is growing expedientially there as everywhere and it's alarming to say the least. They cited one town in particular in England that a few years ago a Muslim was rarely seen.
Little things make me happy. Today was a good day. Today I hung out my clothes on the line for the first time this year. That made me smile. It was still a bit chilly but there was a breeze, no snow on the ground and a new clothesline just put up by my husband. So I lugged out my big basket and hung out two loads. I hate using the dryer, not only because I am
Who was it that said....if you're not a liberal when you're young, you have no heart and if you're not a conservative when you are old you have no brain? I find myself, as Tova, getting more and more conservative in my beliefs as I age. But I have always been fairly conservative to some degree as far back as I can remember. I feel for the most part I am tolerant of others. It doesn't mean tho that I have to swallow what they're di
We believe in "courtship" rather than dating. There are substantial differences between the two, and although at times it may seem similar, the attitude is entirely different. I agree and that's what the book "I kissed Dating Goodbye" is all about. Courtship rather than what we call dating today. I wa
Clinton did foster a crappy FBI, didn't he... there ya go....heeheehe I think it's time we moved on. The important thing? There hasn't been a second 9/11.
It is an open casket affair and I think it will be far too traumatic for any child who doesn't feel ready for that. I agree with you here. I think it's wise hold back a bit. Depending on the kid, this could open up a whole new can of problems for the kids that see this. I remember having bad nightmar
