There are a lot of slams against the city I work in, and they are well deserved. However, the public transportation is pretty damn good, and they do run on time. Almost like clockwork. I have seen a bus sitting idle for 5 minutes because it was ahead of schedule. Two questions: 1)Where is this? and

It reminds me of those shirts that you see on the guys with mullets that say "Breast Inspector". Ugh. People really have become gullible. I can't really describe this concept in English, so I'll have to translate and use a little spanglish. If you want to say it's a lot of something, or really something, you can put the word "re" on the beginning of the original word. "Rete" is a bit stronger than "re". "Récate" is one of the s

If, on the other hand, you believe in God, but what He does has to make sense to you in order for you to swallow it, go hang out at a vet's office sometime. See if the animals understand the benefit of what is happening. You and I would be less than animals in comparison to an omnipotent God. Good poin

(Sunday afternoon) I'm sitting at my desk. I've been working on studying for my psychology test I've got to take later today. The computer sits open, the face of Homestar Runner on my desktop, the words underneath read "Seriously". My psych textbook sits open, homework strewn about, fan blowing down into my entirely too hot room. The soothing music of

Hehe, dont worry i'll probably translate it in english later You'll have to, because I'm dying over here . . . I know what it's about, but I'm not getting the WHOLE PICTURE, ya know what I mean? Italian, I can usually read and understand. Portugese - easy. But french is just different enough from my

ANd yet something must be done. Alternative fuels will not be viable as long as 'filling up' is not painful to all of us. This is not Europe. But it is not 1970 America either. I agree that we MUST do something. What, I'm not sure. But I don't think that Ethanol is going to be the savior many are e

Is it too expensive/difficult to drive and park? That was always fun as well. I'm too cheap. Remember, I lost my scholarship because of that damn math teacher, so I've got to pay for school, and a tank of gas a week to get to school and back doesn't sound like fun. Oh well. <TABLE cellpadding

Maybe if you'd try to work on fixing your own damn pathetic, failed party instead of demeaning others' parties, we'd get something done! Strong work, Gid, strong work. I have to agree. It does no good demeaning anybody's party, that just makes those who aren't members disaffected. Col, let's calm dow

My best friend right now (because I'm not on the married side of things, still kicking it as a single) is my buddy Matt. We've been friends for years, and even as he's gotten to know me better, and know my past he hasn't ever shunned me. We've drifted a bit lately, because of schedules and busy lives (and HIS girlfriend, I must admit) but he's still the best I've got.

8 (Jessica will be 7 this year!) Holy crap! I'm out of touch with things, and your kids are getting old! Wow. Sorry man. Look at you, married eight years, and I can't even keep a steady girlfriend. Hope the house-hunting went

The casting in this movie is going to be key. If it's got Jessica Simpson in it, I'm banning it. So who would you make Capt. Kirk or Spock. I know Ashton Kutcher as Kirk and Wilmer Valdemerra as Spock. Or even worse Stifler from the American Pie movies also known as Bo Duke. Oh this is just scary. I was

Have any of you all read the book "State of Fear" by Michael Chrichton? It's a great read, with a really compelling storyline, one of his better books in my mind. But what makes it creepy is that it's about the environmental organization that will go to any extremes to "prove" global warming (with intent to save their corpulent funding). This same idea is brought up. If you analyze the data, it shows that yes, in some areas there is something c

Hmm, now that is an interesting image. But I cant get the vision of foghorn leghorn in that white suit for some reason. Ah Say, Ah Say. What ya doin boy? ha ha ha ha ha ha! Okay, I've obviously not gotten enough sleep of late, because that joke had me laughing so hard that if the laptop hadn't actual

Conservatives are alright, as long as they can agree to disagree with me. But I don't like it when seemingly intelligent people are reduced to name-calling etc. I'm all for open, honest , adult dialogue. If it is anything else, I lose interest very quickly. Great point, maso. That's why, for example, D

No, if is were a heterosexual fling the film would have been called "The Bridges of Madison County" and we would have been asked to look at that extramarital affair as someting beautiful, instead of the ugly, lying, adultery it was. Good point, Ted. That was a big movie a few years back. But that was

Ha ha ha ha ha! Thanks for the good laugh, doctor. As I've mentioned plenty of times, I'm pretty liberal, and that's cool. All my friends and acquaintances are pretty darn conservative, and that's okay too. But to discuss this at work is pretty dumb of that guy. Just remind me not to leave anything of mine lying around if we ever get in a political argument . . . </fon

Only a little? More like a whole heck of a LOT! Just trying to be nice . . . I am still new around these parts, don't want to piss too many people off . . . although I guess we've all pissed off the colonel at one point or another. But I can't help it - every time he writes some new bit of rhetoric

It's official - you're getting really freaking old. Three kids, a wife of . . . seven years? Am I right? And now, finally . . . (drumroll, maestro, and a real rocker, like an Adel Moustafa tribal drumroll) . . . almost done with Med School! And thirty years old in like three months. Wow. Whenever I start to feel old, I just need to think of you, bro. good luck on

Ah yes, and this is a great example of the rise of the 'double standard modern conservative'. With the popularity of the movie proving to outshine the controversy, I wonder if Mr. Miller is now kicking himself because of the cash he missed out on by not showing it. The funniest part is, he didn't miss o

Being a true fan doesn't mean you automatically love everything an artist does. After all, no band, author, etc. is going to produce pure gold every time. I am a huge Rush fan. In fact, I would say I am a true Rush fan. But that doesn't mean I love every single song they have ever written. There are a few stinkers I just won

Cant blame someone for using the rules! Amen.
