I do not take the bible as 100% the word of God. It's man's interpretation of the word of God, and it can be manipulated. People can read one scripture to mean many different things, who know what God really meant by it, and who knows if the people who wrote the bible got it right from God? I think the bible has a lot of good ideas about how we should live our lives, but it's hard for me to believe that everything in the bible is straight from God.

I must be weird then....I LOVE books and I always have. I learned to read when I was about 4 (that's when I was put into kindergarten) and by the end of first grade I'd read all the little house on the prairie books. it cost me $50.00 to fill up my tank, and I drive a very gas friendly honda. I remember about 2 years ago it cost me $20.00 every week and a half...and I thought THAT was expensive. The highest I've seen it has bee $3.49.....I got lucky and filled up for $3.09 the other day though...woo!

I know exactly what you mean...I hate this pop Christian 'lord I life your name on high' stuff. Most of it is just so cheesy. I think what kills me are the lyrics. We sing a lot of those songs for my church choir, but the music isn't so bad, but when you're singing the word "I pledge allegiance to the lamb" it's hard to take the music seriously.

I really liked this, you put a lot of questions that I've been thinking about. But why did he have to die so that us and God would be even? I was not an avid watcher of the show (I'm not a real watcher of any show, no time) but the episodes I did watch I really enjoyed.
