I thought I should post a progress update on this, in case anyone is interested. I at first couldn't get Firefox to work properly. It wouldn't log into my earthlink web mail. Earthlink kept saying it was not a supported domain. I then tried IE 7 Beta 3 and it worked. I also noticed that the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal tool was applied during the install and what do you know a number of system hickups and problems have cleared up. I have the same problem. Everytime I shutdown when I restart my font size changes have all been changed back. There might be a default setting in WB for using custom settings instead of the Blind settings. I'm willing to wait till the pros respond on this. Good question though.

The trial started in June of 2006. That is when I allowed it to connect with Microsoft.Com and start my trial. The 60 day trial ends on July 31, 2006 just for clarification there hm. In any case I have downloaded Open Office and it has successfully installed. My next step is to do something about the biggest headache and that's a replacement for Outlook and possibly Outlook Express. As I stated Outlook doesn't work at all on my machine. The trial hasn't expired, yet. I called it the trial from hell. The problems with defaults being hijacked have been on-going since I purchased this PC new in 11/2005. I started the 60 day trail at the beginning of June 2006. My belief is there is some kind of software installed on here so the novice user will invariably auto trigger Microsoft Word and/or Outlook to try and install and work. Hey Jafo my post is trying to relay the following. After this 60 day tial software kept insisting on starting, after everytime I tried to open a text document and Microsoft Word (which wasn't officially installed yet would try to run) I finally gave up and started the 60 day trial from hell. I will try to give a brief background. I have an HP Pavillion Media Center PC. Overall its been pretty good. It came with a 60 day trial of MS Office 2003. And what an ordeal its been. First of all its a home PC and my use of any Office 2003 products here at home just isn't there. So, for along time I would decline starting the 60 day trial. Hi Janise, I'll try. If you have the purchased version of WB5 then its straight forward. Download the WindowBlinds of your choice and simply click on the downloaded file when done and it will self load. The same is true of the complete theme packages just download them, click on them when done (or select run from the download dialogue box) and the Theme Manager will automatically load your downloaded theme. If you have the freeware trail version of WB then you get the blinds it comes with.

I hear ya, but I've tried similar stuff before and no its not a big drain on the CPU. If you poll once every 1/2 sec. or even 1/4 second, the cpu barely flinches.
