Pardon me for the somewhat obvious response, but I'm sure you could resize your browser window such that it does not overlap with the dock. Maybe I don't understand the precise nature of the problem, but it seems to me that if your Dock is overlapping with the min-max-close buttons in a maximized window, then this isn't just a problem with web-browsing--it would impact any full-sized window application that you may be running. I'm curious: does a large part of the code for converting the original image to bootskin format exist on the Stardock servers. It isn't mentioned in ID's discussion but I experimented with a couple of photographs and Bootskin Pro connected to Stardock and appeared to upload the image and re-download it. Also, although this topic may have been covered previously, are there certain criteria that make a "good" bootskin for Vista?

Hm. I guess it is just me. For what it's worth, I'm not entirely convinced this is strictly a retail space issue. Two of the games I mentioned (Fallout and Spore) have not only strategy guides but "collector's edition" strategy guides for sale separately. I know for a fact that Spore has a super-skimpy manual. I think it's partly a marketing issue (milking the cow).
