It has been released today in the US... sadly i will have to wait another 2 days or try a proxy
A support guy? "did you plug it in" types? first-level just means he actually knows what a computer looks like on the inside and isn't reading from a computerscreen standardized questions. I rather go by common sense, and that is that MS has completely lost it due to never having to really compete on a level playing field before.
Ok so if i have understood that right you would let someone completely incompetent repr

I would love to see another wave of "we search testers / reviewers germany" Not going to happen i guess Always wanted a Spro but im saving the money since 900USD is a bit rough! Even when its tempting...
DaveRIreply 9Quoting Neil Banfield, reply 7Hybrid dreams are efficient, but we have yet to get them to use 0.3MB!Maybe some of the usage remains buried in the explorer process? All of the usage is in the explorer process. Deskscapes.exe / Deskscapes64.exe is there for one purpose only and thats to start DeskScapes. yeah tested it its about 36,8 mb when running but thats ok...still less than my chrome lol just have seen you wrote
I wish you a wonderful relaxing and joyfull [e digicons][/e] Birthday

I don’t know if post #45 was wasted time on my side or simply not understandable Its all nice that Stardock develops the software for our needs but you guys especially should report things like the stuff you mentioned you don’t like the utterly ugly and unusable GUI that has sunrays coming out of its arse, i can understand not doing so since the income of Start8 and Decor8 must had have been huge i would count money also but besides that devs have more <span
thats is the list i printed for my old man and stickyd it to a wall since he has the shortcuts in sight he likes windows8 These keyboard shortcuts are missing in the tut that comes with windows8 and for me they represent the reason why windows8 has such a bad call. I like that you installed it on old hardware and the fact that its running more than in acceptable performance on it. Was it only the FSB that made it possible to install win8 in the first place since i dont ha
I currently use Chaninja´s Plasturd Dream and the resource overview shows that deskscapes8 is runnning with 0,3mb [e digicons]o_O[/e] If that is accurate its amazing. Still i cant see how that is possible.
Quoting CarGuy1, reply 1Wouldn't it have been easier to include a MPG2 codec with DesScapes8? Requireing the use of AVI or WMV makes the CPU usage double in most cases. Without MPG2, I doubt I wil
I´m gonna say something here... Nobody in this thread -(Forgive me if someone did and I missed it)- has mentioned anything about how the goodies for skinning the OS has been taken away. The "Blur", Aero, DWM transp. etc. I am an artist & a Skinner foremost so to me THAT makes win8 Suck ! BigTime. I used Win 8 home for about 3 weeks and personally thought it was an extremely ugly version of Win 7
Quoting Roloccolor, reply 21 beetween 2015 and 2020 That is 6 to 11 years of service life. I'll lean toward the later date. I won't say Windows 8 sucks, because I don't know that from personal experience. I do know that Win7 is a reliable, functional, comfortable, efficient OS and I have no need to switch to something "trendy and more modern" for little to no benefit. In fact, there may be more than just some Stardock
Quoting DrJBHL, reply 4Hi Rolo. You can wait for an email from Twitter, or use the info here (after the "As always..."): ...or you can take this opportunity to dump the service and have a REAL LIFE [tm] ...
[e digicons][/e] well i just made it for GUIC and never used it got email from twitter if i would know some certain folks i never heard of, all the mail always went into my junk folder... I will
Quoting Seleuceia, reply 24I can respect those who hate windows 8 because they don't like any windows operating system or because it is a terrible tablet interface....but to say that windows 7 is better is a clear sign of ignorance.... For desktop and laptop users, windows 8 is basically windows 7 with a larger start menu that holds more shortcuts and allows those shortcuts to be "live"...so, if you didn't like windows 7
Windows 8 sucks. I even have a Surface RT to give Microsoft's vision a fair chance in an ideal setting and have given metro plenty of tries On a PC. It's inferior. Vastly inferior.
a little explaination what are the points of beeing inferior would us help to understand why you think so it would clear things up for us more Like the navigation swipe functions are not good they dont react some stuff like delay in app op
Quoting starkers, reply 14 XP and Vista will be forced into retirement before the year's end, and support for Win 7 will begin to wind down in late 2014. Now that is not to say support for Win 7 will be entirely axed, security patches would still be issued for a time, but MS intends to pour its resources into new and emerging technologies. How about some actual sources for this information, and I don't mean what I thought to be ext
I'll leave that to the not faint of heart! Nope. Ain't gonna do it. Uh uh...Bye. I thought ok a shooter some alien thingys come and attack you just like in duke nukem right ( easy i thought ) but then i found myself in a corner without a gun and nothing to defend myself surrounded by about 15 monster comming my way attacking- I was running and
wait what login to change your password sorry i have a twitter account made it for GUIC but if a page or platform is that compromised its highly likely you get taken from behind if you insert your login and try to change your password to a safer one lol. I sit this one out and change it when twitter is running again or i kill that account since im not realy using it anyway. As always ty for the heads up Doc
My Old man got windows8 he reacted the same since he was sooo used to have that start button and that little menu that poped up if you press that STARTBUTTON... he cursed a lot at windows 8 until i made him a simple list with keyboard shortcuts and explained him how the new UI works and how he can navigate quickly through it.He is happy with it now it took a little but he speaks differently about it now. I think its all about adjusting yourself and realy trying to understand the OS some
this concept reminds me of DS just that in DS the airlooks are opening vertical great great cant wait to see more
It is almost the time to sit back on the weekend and play one of my favourite games of all time, and this time with a buddy to back me up. What am I talking about? About Dead Space 3 ( rated Mature ) on my very first play I managed to fight through the Ishimura where the character Isaac suffered from various scratches and got a little Paranoid -just a little. The first game was amazing and it is one of the most shocking and scariest hold your breath games I´ve ever played ti
