Oversized imagery such as above is unwarranted and undesired, not to mention a waste of space, time and bandwidth... Translation: Big picktures make puter run slow joking (smiley posted)

an icon is an icon is an icon An icon (from Greek εἰκών, eikon, "image") is an image, picture, or representation; it is a sign or likeness that stands for an object by signifying or representing it, or by analogy, as in semiotics; in computers an icon is a symbol on the monitor used to signify a command whether it be ico or png Gizmo is correct in his statements and it would make things easier I will need someone to lend me a wheelbarrow, however, in order to
c'mon Jafo......YOU DO KNOW I WAS KIDDIN' RIGHT!...do you guys actually think I was gonna host a big image and throw it into every post...c'mon, guys, they trust me to teach college students...can't y'all trust me to use a bit of common sense and once in a while post a joke? It was informational only...wasn't really gonna dump the forums full of smart*** images...oh, joy...the more posts here, the more the point of the origional title of this thread is made <img src="http://images.stardock.com
d:-{) Yes, cavan...but as you can see above...the smiley for a guy in a baseball cap and sporting a moustache doesn't work on this forum.
The whole lot needs a re-think. as does so many things in this great world...but we just keep on Skinnin' Happy, Smilin', like unto a possum!
I've been here a while and have ran into the same problem a couple of times on the forums...how can you tell when someone is funnin' and when someone is actually being serious? How does one relay sarcasm in a text only format? I believe I have found an answer and want all of you folks to know that 98.7% of my posts will, from this point forward, contain the following picture If you run into a forum post
alas, I was only joking myself and was playing along...so darned hard to convey tone in a text only format! All of this, including the first "what did I ever do to you?" post was all in jest!...geesh fellas...my entire last post was a play on the alliteration posted above it...gotta just start posting "yep" or "nope" instead of long tirades that get taken wrong....I'm trying to fit in, be funny, not talk too much...darn! I'm doing it again...time to visit the Ritalin salt lick...
*tap* *tap* *tap* hello....anyone in there???
I, for one, am amazed at the alliteration skills of some of the posters in this thread! (reference reply #17) As for seperating the icons from the docks, I'm not against it at all...and will help in anyway I can, just so newbies are directed to a place to find icons that will work on their docks when the download the programs...I wasn't trying to start a debate, or God forbid, a petition...It's just in all my time here I have created nothing but icons and I kinda took offense at the
uh huh...hows about an object dock icon gallery or folder...but if I remember correctly, one may serch the objectdock gallery set to only certain criteria, such as docks, docklets, animation and the like...I know this adds a step and doesnt prevent the new docks/docklets from getting buried by the sudden onslaught of thousands of new icons uploaded at once, but (truthfully) isn't this a solution? I mean, when I search for a new zoomer or docklet, I simply set the search in the OD galler
Personally...I'd like to see all icon/pngs rejected (ejected) from the ObjectDock library. now what, pray tell, did I ever do to you?
*I'm singing..I'm singing!*
Bump Brianiac's origional post was awesome! The comments, gang...remember the comments...I have posts with over a thousand downloads on 'em and nobody has said a word! Are they so bad that someone thinks if they download them enough they will get the last one out of the gallery sooner or later? I'd love to hear from the folks that download my stuff, sadly, I very seldom do Congrats Braniac on the milestone!
lol...SS, old skinners never die...they just get gui!
I would suggest that you contact the origional designer...D. Arnaez in this case, and ask for an icon for Audition to match the origional set...I for one am not gonna try to match the look that D. can get out of an icon, and I don't wanna rip off someone else's design. I use photoshop to make the icons....however, in the case of the film cannister, I used fireworks to get the 3d effect
image is on a transparent background...just the brush, the film canister and the software name...hope it works for ya!
As promised, I have submitted the PKR.com icon I created last week, however, Po's are much better...just added mine to the gallery cause I promised Jack I would. It should be in the gallery some time this week, just search for PKR.com
In reference to #908 HERE YA GO AIMZZZ!
