I like that option Addman. Opening your boarders to a certain race would be a better option. these are just ideas thrown in the air. opens up more tactics you and your allies use. I haven't checked to see if the Minor races are designed to be dumb like that, in GC1 a minor race was one that had certain abilities however didnt have enough of the right stuff (short life span, no common sense ect) to be able to compete against the other Civ's. My favorite game are the ones that last foreve

Thats a pretty powerful ability. Reminds me of when people were making cargo hulls and beefing them up with lots weapons and attacking to get first strike in the earlyer versions of GC2

I agree with this. Im really tired of the choosing your research tree. it should at least be something you finance but you cant choose from. and a certain percentage, like have a small amount of money going into everything or focus all tech research to figure out Ship defense ect. the tech tree is played out from most games, Civ especially.

ROFL yeah, that would deffinatly suck not being able to play any other games. But then again, if the AI was that good, would you want too?

In my opinion. The major races should be the top 10 or so. This way if or when a major race gets wiped out, a minor race takes its place in the Council. In Civ 4 you can see everyone’s status and relations with everyone with ease, we do need something like this so we can see how everyone stands in an instant vs having to ask around and play diplomat. As for them actually using what they have properly, how about an option to allow a culture/ Alien relations. It’s obvious the Yor wont wa

Thats a pretty good idea, and allows you to play with the fire borrowing the devils hands. having Pirate worlds and the like would be cool, on the outer rim planets or those with a low PQ. may be a good place to put agents on to get additional resourses and techs perhaps. Either way if this kind of corruption would be alive in a galaxy, it opens up yet another chapter in Political and war tactics. This game is only getting better.

I would love an AI like that. and multiplay would be heck against the AI if we can ever speed that up and making it plasible for GC

I prefer an empty spaced out Gigantic map and very slow tech. so having everything scale to the map size kinda seems rediculous. there wouldnt be a point in making a large map. just more parces to deal with.

That seems really limiting. but i think i see your point in balancing. Carriers are the power houses of current Navy warfare, reason for the fact you never see 2 carriers together is simply one alone is a prime target. I see your point with the weapons. though only two options are availble in ship designing. 1. Hightly specialized ships to maximize one time chances. 2. Extreem Balanced Units. this allows you to lose a unit and not suffer as badly when using any single unit

yeah, ive seen a couple of rebelions against evil races a couple times actually... only a few planets at a time though. nothing major

One thing thats for sure, I hope GC2 stays Single player. Ive been playing Civ for a while and always wanted to see empires split off, alliances made and broken, religious wars, powerful nations cumbling or split from one single event and now several civilizations stand. I see events like this happen all the time in GC2. mostly from evil civilizations. my only compliant is how minor races are treated. Ive seen minor races rise up and be incredible forces to deal with. but you never get

Well first step would be to discuss the idea, next would be to get a group together and develoup it.

I didnt see a post on this One thing im curious on is how you really run your civilization. you really dont see if your Government Tortures, surrenders , takes prisoners, allows for multiple species to co exsist or does it not accept it at all, ect these sort of things make up your Civilization, how they live and how they work with others. sure you choose alignment threw the choices you make, however there are far many other facters that play a role on the matter.

Im supprised by how many people never got the chance to enjoy GC1. there were alot of things in there i enjoyed more then i did in GC2. It seems the focus now adays is on graphics and less on game play. i keep seeing games get downgraded to allow for better graphics or eye candy. Terror stars were an achivment, though if they be made in the game, they should take time to construct, limit the amount

Thanks, I found the Official Forum for this Topic. i like the idea of making a Hanger bay modual, but only supporting a limited amount of fighters. Also liked the idea for a tech tree, this way to make this available to Space Stations. sorry for the mistake of making this a Idea Warfare, I didnt look around too much before making this thread.

LOL ok ok, enough said. Ill just make a mod and make it a Logistic point/support equipment to put on my ships and act like a carrier. Just take some work to get the AI to Use it too. As for the Logistic points, i was refering to a sub catigory. so you can add ships with only 4 logistic points but have 4 or 5 more. and as long as they are in the fleet they dont need engines for hyper drive, or a need for life support. to find the category for the Forum when you creat one you will

Ever sense World War 2 Carriers have been one of the corner stones of Navy warfare. They hold dozens of fighters, house its own economy and vastly improve the infrastructure of oceanic travel. However they aren’t in any way represented here in GC2. My idea would be to make a Carrier Class, that will increases the available logic points for a fleet in various ways that are customizable. All though carriers are supportive in nature, in a fight they are still the prime and juicy target. <

Hay guys, im an idiot. I have an email with all the information required for me to get DA but I cant seem to find the link anywhere. all the links in the email are for support, this or that but nothing about going to any particular site, punching in my info and downloading DA. what am i doing wrong?

Id like to be able to see what my espionoge is doing to hurt oponents. maybe even spend money to increase security like in SP2. mabye even sending security to allies to help protect them from the enemy. Possable be able to have more options to "talk" to the AI. like asking what there goals are, anything they need or want to help them out ect like in CIV 4. Back in Pax Imperia you had to deal with a specific area of planets you could work with. like dealing with the atsmop
